First of all, you're doing such an amazing job! Everything works a little slower when you start out with bigger numbers unfortunately. I started my journey at 375 (probably more, but like you, I couldn't get to a working scale for until about 3 weeks in) and now I'm down to 331. That's 44 lbs, and I'm still rocking my same…

Thanks you everyone for your feedback. We finally made it to the gym today, around 10. I think we're gonna talk tonight when I get home from work. I know that this won't work if I want it and she doesn't, but I just remember how enthused she was when she got our memberships, so I know in her heart she wants to make a…

338. I don't even remember what my starting weight was.

Logging it as dance, general make the most sense since it's not on the list of workouts but, the number of calories it'll tell you it burns might be way off. It was for me, anyway. It said I burned about 25% more calories than I did.

H-Town, baby! Houston Texas!

Congrats! That is a huge accomplisment!

I have to do that too! I'm participating in this challenge, the Pin-up Girls challenge and the Harry Potter Challenge. Luckily all the weigh-in fall on either Sunday or Monday, so it's not that bad. But whatever I weigh Sunday morning is the weight I go with for all of them.

My girlfriend. I've got about 70 lbs on her, which is so disheartening because while I'm signifiantly bigger than she is, I'm also a bit healthier than she is. It just sucks to see people in poorer health/fitness and know I'm more overweight/obese than they are. =( I don't necessarily want to get smaller than her, as I'm…

Well, my favorite animal is the snake ( i know, weird), but to be honest, based on my personality, I'd say that my mascot would be some sort of teddy bear. A teddy bear that can be vicious when it has to be, but for the most part is sweet and totally chill all the time.

It's all good. Don't let this challenge turn into more stress for you! At the end of the day, you're on this journey for you and no one else, and if you're journey is getting a little rough and tumble then you don't have to explain yourself to anyone, just do what's good for you to help you get through it. We're all here…

Almost all of my MFP friends are awesomely amazing, but someone who definitely stands out is jzim! She's so supportive and a total rockstar. I'm so glad that she and I are friends 'cause she is a HUGE motivator, and wants absolutely everyone to be the best strongest them that they can be. Like I said before, there are so…

Congrats on the food baby!

Lookin' good! Keep up the good work!

Congrats on your success so far. Just a suggestion though, perhaps you should make your goal be 190 or something like that because on a day to day basis weight fluxes 2-5 lbs and I'd hate for you to get on a scale and see 203 and have a feeling of dread when in actuality you've not put on any fat, per se. Just a thought.…

AMEN! I get frustrated too when people tell me that the surgery may not be necessary, especially because I'm so young (I'm 21 years old). By the end of my weight loss journey I will have lost at least 225 lbs (that's to get down to the upper end of my healthy weight range). I know that skin has elasticity, and that SOME of…

I have to get the surgery. I'm going to start having fundraisers in the fall to help me raise funds (My insurance should cover most of the costs, but there will doubtlessly be things that they won't cover). I'm absolutely terrified. I've never had surgery or children, or anything.

You look stunning! Keep up the good work!
