You look lovely! You're carving out a nice little waist for yourself!

Yeah. Unfortunatly, I think this very thing played a very big hand in my recent break up with my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend). We're both very obese, and unhealthy. And then earlier this year I decided that I was done being like this so I started getting in shape (well, better shape, still working on it...) And she not…

I know some women really don't like the way their face looks without makeup, or they're very insecure without. It's like a security blanket. I feel sad for ladies like that.

Um. No trauma please. Why not help them AND their families learn healthy habits?

I understand that part of the problem is learned behavior... but part of that is out of the parents hands. Looking back, I remember trying to eat as much food as my brother and my dad, who would eat huge portions 3-4 times a day. What I didn't understand as a child is that they're were both athletes and they NEEDED to eat…

There's just such an unclear line that needs to be drawn. I was over 200 lbs in the 7th grade. That's morbid obesity, but it wasn't my parent's fault. I snuck food into my bedroom. stopped at the icecream shop after school, and spent all of my lunch money on snacks from the vending machine. Things my parents tried to keep…

How can you make such a blanket statement like that? Living a healthy lifestyle and raising children is very difficult. Sometimes people make poor choices, but that doesn't mean they don't care about their children's health. Or their own. People need educating, not punishing.

I have a few. :blushing:

I disagree with this quite a bit. I've been obese since I was 7 years old, and my parents tried for years to try to help me make healthier choices. We cut fast food down to once a week when we moved back to the states (i was about 9, when we lived in Italy, the only food on the military base was American fast food, and…

If you find yourslef correcting people's exaggerations like "I just burned 1,000 calories mowing the yard",,, you might be addicted to MFP When you get upset because someone through away a food wrapper before you could log the info... you might be addicted to MFP If your wrist feels naked without your HRM on... you might…

There's also sugar-free peppermints. I don't know the name of the brand I buy, but it's 60 calories for 3 of them, and they help me get through cravings, 'cause it takes me a while to finish one, AND it leaves my mouth pepperminty, which makes me not want to eat anything else for a while afterwards.

Don't know if these have already been said but these are some that I like so much I wrote them on my wall! "Reason: Why you do something Excuse: What you tell yourself/others to get out of doing something" "A year from now you'll wish you started today." "Write down how you feel after you finish a really intense workout.…
