  • How much protein are you getting daily? Same goes for Vit. B. Are you getting enough through your diet? I'm not sure about the composition of those hair vitamins but I guess they have at least some biotin.
  • Usually doctors refrain from supplements if the deficiency isn't too dreadful and try to fix it with appropriate diet. Low iron levels may be related to lack of enough vitamin C as well, since vit. C enhances iron absorption. Liver, lentils, dried fruit, even for vegetarians or vegan, the choices are plenty despite the…
  • Unlike what others suggest, iron is not to be taken as a supplement OTC. Do not use iron supplements without the advice of your physician after a blood test for iron levels.
  • Exactly. 36x30~ 1080 calories worth of dessert over 2 weeks.
  • Why would cheese make you gain weight? I don't usually eat bread but I eat cheese every day. If I already decent fat intake I go with low fat choices, if I'm low on fats I eat anything. It's all about planning according to your macros.
  • Hmm, if you're logging all you eat, you're probably eating 30% of what he eats, that's why it seems like he's eating a lot. On the contrary, you are eating too little. That said, I don't have a problem if my boyfriend eats. I cook/bake for someone to eat them. You seriously can't expect muffins you bake to last two weeks?…
  • Indeed, it's hard to miss PKU if you are already getting enough animal proteins without problems. Unlike diet coke, coke zero has a mixture of sweeteners besides aspartame, can be a reaction to any of them or even caffeine itself~again, it's like 100 mg caffeine in 1 liter of coke so it would be severe reaction to get…
  • RDI can vary but not by what you think. In Europe it's set at 40 mg/kg whereas in the US, FDA set it at 50 mg/kg. One can has around 1/15 of the daily total for a 120lbs woman. Drinking one can and getting symptoms is not normal reaction by any means, it hints to some sensitivity.
  • I'm no vegan but this is how I would do: Explore and research your food options well. A vegan lifestyle is not hard as you can substitute most nutrients from animal sources with plant ones. Read the food labels carefully for any animal products. Watch your iron and B12 intake closely as without proper choices you may face…
  • Aspartame amount in one can is very small compared to RDI. You may want to get checked for phenylketonuria as phenylalanine is a by product of aspartame when digested and your symptoms suggest a sensitivity to that. Unless you have migraine and it is getting triggered.
  • They are (usually) pasteurized egg whites. You can use them for anywhere you'd use an egg white. I'm not a fan of cracking an egg to use the white and throw the yolk away so I use them when I want a more protein dense egg mixture above two whole eggs, without the extra fats from egg yolk.

  • This will fix it. With a nice makeup (as the hot pink leaves your face features undefined) you'll be gorgeous. Uhmm also (no offense) I know it's a pain to get an even tan but try to cover the tan lines a bit, it will also make a difference
  • Primary: Chicken breast, tuna (2-3 cans a week), cottage cheese, low fat yogurts that are high in protein like greek yogurt in US, eggs Secondary: Legumes (beans, lentils), milk, any cheese Tertiary: Walnuts, almonds, peanut butter Needless to say the ones in primary are high protein foods with negligible carb and fat…
  • Typo? Why stay away from monounsaturated and polyunsaturated? Except for highly refined vegetable oils which barely have any nutritional value left, mono/polyunsaturated fats are big part of healthy diet.
  • Multivitamins without iron are safer for use. You also get iron from your diet and iron does not get flushed out of the system. High iron levels are very life threatening. Yours is a special case if you have iron deficiency. Mostly anemia is related to iron levels but B12 deficiency is as common.
  • Overconfidence is common among runners then. Calling the fastest sprinter lazy. Sprinting, if anything, is pushing the limits of human body in one of the hardest ways. That's why the improvements on world records are in miliseconds. Whereas long distance endurance is admirable, I really doubt any of long distance runners…
  • Err... right... Because Phelps swims and wins 1500 freestyle or 10 km marathon, Bolt needs to run a decathlon to be compared to Phelps.
  • Carl Lewis was a long jump athlete initially, he started competing in long jump at 13. Bolt started as a sprinter. I think Bolt could be competitive in long jump but I don't think he can perform as good as Carl Lewis. It's only normal if he doesn't want to compete in an event where he can't guarantee gold after setting…
  • No I didn't mean short term classmates but in the university, I saw the same people 3/4 of the week for 4 years. That said, I never dated a classmate or coworker ever, never interested. But I saw too many nice beginnings gone wrong. It would be no problem if it was a classmate from one semester, again unless both parties…
  • You had higher fiber days so it's not fiber, and I can't see anything with sorbitol or maltitol. I don't think it's sugar substitute either since you use it regularly. It's probably broccoli and cauliflower. Coupled with milk consumption in the same meal time may have that effect even when you have no digestion problems.
  • That's 50g of protein there if not less. Maybe 15g fats on average if that's a typical day. That's very poor if it's not restricted because of a health condition. You can increase your protein intake and you do need unsaturated fats. Nuts, olive oil etc.
  • I never cared about brands, still never do. I'm 28 and when I was a preteen, only one or two kids around me were ridiculously brand-aware. It gets worse year by year both for kids and adults. For adults, in most cases it turns into a clique that makes people feel special or belong to a higher socioeconomic status, it's a…
  • Since you say your blood levels are okay, you eat enough and possibly drink enough and don't have hypotension... see an otologist.

  • Plus, it's still taking too long. With or without the released CO2. And nuclear factories, really? As much as I love NASA for its enthusiasm, building Endeavor costed $1.7 billion. Does a distant alien cousin lending us his cargo ships? And we cry when they blow the Earth up for the new highway...
  • Don't date classmates, don't date coworkers. Freaking too much drama even for innocent bystanders.
  • The idea of colonization in a sci-fi flick is to build a dome to live in as long as the planet is non-hazardous and preferably without hostile alien life forms.
  • I don't think chewing is the strong side of most humans considering all the digestion problems and the magical ability to consume a whole meal in a matter of minutes. Oh, and sugar free chewing gums are not 0 cals. And since climbing a stair is around a burn of 0.1 cals... Have fun chewing.

  • I'm a lentil lover. Will definitely try it, thank you!
  • Even one sided swollen ankle may be linked to many conditions. Since you say it's been a year over the injury there is a good possibility that it's not related to the injury especially. A year is a long time for a sprained ankle. For ligament or tendon tearing, the pain would also recur along with swelling. It may be…
  • We won't have a reliable space drive to colonize on time. Solar system is the short straw when it comes to habitable planets and with our current technology, colonization of Mars will take a **** load of time. Tons of material to terraform and colonize. Not to mention our Earthen materials are far from good to use on Mars…
