Just wanted to put these links here concerning detoxes and cleanses... Some insight into "Detoxes and Cleanses"... http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/821828 Thread by EvgeniZyntx laying out in a totally sexy geek fashion why cleanses/detoxes cannot work and why that really is a good thing:…

No problems! It was just how the title of the thread came across in my head. No harm no foul. It is a good thing to educate others about the dangers of EDs. Carry on.

Interesting article but I don't think living a vegan lifestyle will necessarily lead to Orthorexia. I think her story is atypical as opposed to representative of those that choose a plant based diet. I myself have been vegan for quite a few years and have known vegans for decades. Her behavior is not typical in my…

I highly recommend adding compound lifts to your routine, many who have success on here would agree it is highly effective and beneficial for many reasons. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/find-a-plan.html http://stronglifts.com/5x5/

Basically you nailed it, dropping BF% and working out is the solution, I recommend compound lifts-Deadlifts, Squats etc to strengthen your core. You can do isolation work but high reps tend to be an endurance exercise as opposed to making your abs pop (hypertrophy), so add resistance and keep the reps low. Hope that helps.…

No I do believe No I do believe diet could easily affect your skin's condition. I have no problem with you cutting dairy especially if you saw and felt benefits from it. Also it is your prerogative to not want to take pills. I personally hope you get some helpful advice from this thread. The majority of MFP users are in…

Sorry to digress but your thread title made me lol "Anti inflammatory diet" as no matter what your dietary preference is on MFP no doubt it will be "inflammatory" if you post about it... @mianineteen87 I recommend you hang around as this site is very useful and there are very knowledgeable people who often share a wealth…

I myself am a parent and enjoy the fact the school I send my daughter to communicates with us regularly not only about our daughter's education but also about her well being. I think EvgeniZyntx nailed it on the head with his answer. An open non patronizing dialogue between the parents should be sufficient.
