why the 2 week limit? I can't imagine any doctor telling someone they have to put 10 lbs of fat on in 2 weeks.
-
you did not put on 7lbs of muscle in a month - that is guaranteed. probably a combination of water weight and regular weight fluctuations. also, if you don't weigh your food you have no idea how much you are actually eating - so could be some fat gain as well.
-
You definitely did not lose 12 lbs of fat overnight - that is a guarantee. Seems like more of a scale/battery issue if your weight truly was the same for a month then overnight dropped 12 lbs.
-
It is about 10 months from the original post - I'm curious too how much you are down??
-
2lbs could very easily be just a regular weight fluctuation. As others have said, putting on muscle for a woman is not a quick or easy process - you say you are "doing weights" twice per week, but are you on a progressive lifting program? If you are looking to seriously build muscle you are going to have to increase your…

just looked it up and here in Ontario it is only $45 that is not covered by OHIP (the provincial health insurance plan) - good to know!
-
yes - this! and I haven't seen anyone mocking anyone.
-
curious - why when you keep saying that this is all very new to you and that you are not an expert, do you also seem so sure that you are right about everything???
-
what do you mean when you say CICO doesn't work for you? you believe you are eating at a calorie SURPLUS now and losing weight????
-
you never addressed my earlier question to you - you say IF causes weight loss - how is it that people use IF to lose/gain/maintain weight if calorie deficit has nothing to do with it???
-
People use IF to gain, lose or maintain weight. If IF causes weight loss on its own (irrespective of a calorie deficit) how do you explain those people??
-
yup - like others said a scale is definitely needed! as an example, how do you figure you ate 1.2 tablespoons of nutella?? without weighing it is all guesses and estimates.
-
a few minutes of that will add very slightly to your calorie burn - but nothing major (unless you are doing this daily throughout the day?) although it is not necessary for weight loss, exercise is good for your health/heart. why not add in some dedicated exercise (cardio? weights? whatever you want) a few times per week.…

Finally got a chance to try the Mint Chip Cool Way and while it is good, I still prefer the halo top mint chip (half the cost on sale though compared to halo top - can't beat that!)

this. adding a different picture to your post doesn't change the answers - you asked this exact same thing.
-
no - it doesn't work that way. no one puts on muscle mass at a rate that would outpace fat loss - and certainly not while eating 1200 calories per day.
-
could be water weight - what kind of time frame are we talking about?
-
greek yogurt and protein powder mixed together - leave in freezer for about 30 minutes - take out and add chocolate chips - delicious!
-
you lose weight through a calorie deficit - whether you want to eat keto or any other way, it will still come down tot he deficit. is 1200 what MFP tells you to eat? that is the minimum for a woman.
-
one, that is not how public message boards work - you do not get to dictate who responds to your public posts and two, what I said is 100% true - you can choose to disagree with it, but unless your body defies the laws of thermodynamics, what I said stands.
-
if you were truly eating 1000 calories per day you would be losing - big time. something is off in your measuring.
-
from a calorie perspective, they are not at all "as bad as each other" - diet or coke zero is a great substitute if you are looking to cut back calories. also, what is "full fat" cola? even regular coke is still 0 fat.
-
another vote for coke zero! simple switch to make.
-
yup, same at my work place. one guy got a standing desk and another got a ball chair - they loved them the first day or two and haven't used them since!
-
yes - this. burning 700 calories through exercise is a lot on a daily basis and you say you are doing this through cardio and weights? what exactly are you doing and how are you measuring your burn?
-
OP has not put on muscle mass in a matter of days/weeks while eating at a calorie deficit and doing 20 rep sets (the endurance range - not hypertrophy range). Without some serious steroid use (and even then), no one is putting on muscle at a rate that would outpace fat loss. Much more likely to be a logging or water…

aokoye - if you don't mind me asking, what alternatives did your surgeon provide? did you do another surgery instead of the lateral release? as I noted above, I've had microfracture and lateral release and neither have helped whatsoever. seen a slew of surgeons and all tell me there really aren't any options left!
-
I had one done January 2017 - took a full year until I was "normal" (recovered from the surgery) again and have noticed no improvements whatsoever to knee tracking, pain, etc. I did a lot of reading into it prior to the surgery and was willing to try anything that had a chance of helping, but most of what I read said it is…

I watch this show and every episode I have seen he puts them on a 1200 calorie diet - never heard him say 900 calories/day.
