I use some whey before I go to the gym because I am an AM exerciser. I don't like to go on an empty stomach and need to go before work. I then take it after on days I also lift. I don't use it to replace any meals but I do drink it about halfway between breakfast and lunch to give my body a boost of protein. Cheap good…

I wish I hadn't read through all those posts. What a waste of time.... Carbs are connected to water retention. Cut carbs, do cardio (id skip weights for a few days), and don't eat or drink before weighing in. Unless your walking around with low water right now (which you very well may be if you are a vigorous and regular…

I don't know how much it costs or the shipping on amazon but if you want to get a pretty good price netrition.com has a flat 4.95 shipping charge! just checked and I think its cheaper too (but amazon probably changes.)

I think its a "don't go over this number" type of goal. "The current Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend a maximum of 2,300 milligrams (about a teaspoon of salt) for people over age 2, but only 1,500 milligrams for the 70 percent of adults at high risk of sodium-induced illness: people older than 50, all…

A standard barbell will weigh 45lbs. If it looks like all the other ones on the benches and squat racks its a 45lber. Secondly, one should do their best not to boast but a persons stated bench does include the bar. So, if I were to tell you yesterday I benched 225 it would be two 45lb plates on each side and the 45lb bar.…

ie... http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/27/health/high-sodium-to-potassium-ratio-in-diet-is-a-major-heart-risk.html or more pithy: http://www.scientificamerican.com/podcast/episode.cfm?id=sodium-and-potassium-together-deter-11-07-12 good thing about salt substitute is you need more for the same taste of salt... use it on that…

Hahah! Too true. Its because sodium doesn't necessarily have to be salt. Certain item are pumped with sodium to help preserve them when being frozen. I agree with the fresh meal ideas and personally I cook nightly. Not always easy. I know not everyone wants to plan meals on weekends and I don't always follow thru by friday…

I only do my consistent gym routine right now, my max burn being whatever a quick lift would be plus the 350-425 a machine says. I probably don't eat all these calories back right away and if I didn't get a protein shake in me between breakfast and lunch I would probably pass out... while I sit at my desk. I have burned…

I like it with peanut butter and protein powder. I typically have the calories available to eat it like this right before I go to bed! But recently discovered powdered peanut butter and powdered chocolate peanut butter which would probably be a great lower cal way to get this delicious desert!

I just recently came across this product and when I went to order it I noticed it was pretty expensive on shipping... Quick google brought me to netrition.com --- same prices (3.99 for the 6.5, 7.99 for the pound bags) but you can buy in individual quantities and the shipping is a flat rate of $4.95 (UPS ground.) Old…

Hey. I recently had the exact same question and when i googled i found a thread in which members mentioned searching strength under cardio. You can enter and amount of minutes. Also, they mentioned using a heart rate monitor because i guess there is an option for that. I think the cardio for strength may be a bit…

It is true that abs are a much more resilient muscle and cam be worked out more frequently. So are calves. I wouldnt necessarily go hard daily. I train abs 3 times a week on days when I am doing HIIT and not lifting. I work 2 muscles groups a workout day and average 3 exercises each. 3 days a week with at least one of my…
