  • I need to get on track with this too! Lost about 30 lbs 6 years ago and it's all crept back because of less work outs, more calories and that definitely isn't helped by the love of the evening vino. I could go all day sticking to my plan but then add glass(es) of wine and the rest of the day turns into snack fest. I…
  • I'd love to join if you're still adding people. I started Monday 4/27.. going great so far. I did get the book the other day and I'm delving into that as well. It's nice to see other MFP-ers doing it too!

  • I started my first Whole30 on Monday 4/27. So far I love it! I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. So for those of you doing it or that have completed it, did you wait the whole 30 days to weigh yourself or were there any "sneaky" weigh ins?? Just curious..

  • AMAZING!!!! So very inspiring!
  • Love this sentiment.. of course it's not the easiest to remember during times of weakness, which I totally understand too. I've had my ups and downs and the times that I've really been successful are when I commit to picking the "losing weight" instead of "being overweight". It really is just a mindset you have to choose.…
  • I do the same thing. Our classes usually only run 50 minutes or so but I base calorie burn on 25 minutes, and even less if I know it was more poomsae focused class versus more cardio type activities, or sparring. Such a great workout, for body and mind though!
  • Wow! Those look so good!
  • Wow! Those look so good!
  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post.. what a great reminder!
  • I have a vitamix that I love. As for smoothies, I think if you're using them as a supplement to an already healthy diet and you're adding lots of healthy veggies that you wouldn't have eaten otherwise, and not adding in lots of calorie laden other ingredients, it's a great thing!
  • This sounds right up my alley.. I know the calories in the evening beverages are totally sabotaging all the good stuff I do during the day. Should be easy to just skip it but it's such a habit!
  • Thanks for the reply! It really hasn't been a long enough test yet, but I feel great so far sticking with the low carbs and my clothes are even fitting better already. in the past, low carb has been what has worked for my body. Consuming sugars/carbs always seems to trigger a want for more sugars/carbs.. and thus the…
  • I was just looking for some keto breakfast ideas and saw this post... sounds delicious! This may be a dumb question, but what is espresso powder? Is it like instant coffee or is it unbrewed espresso grind regular coffee? I'd love to know if you get a chance.. Thanks for the idea!
  • I'm not so new on MFP, but haven't really been using it for a while... I'm starting on Keto this week and would love to find like minded/eating folks... feel free to add me and thank you!
  • Congratulations on a well deserved success!!! You are truly an inspiration!
  • Hi, I'm also trying to go the clean eating route and would love to add friends with similar goals and diets.. please feel free to add me if you'd like!
  • Me: 1 LNS: 1 Baby steps, I suppose..
  • Is it too late to jump in on this now? This is my biggest challenge and I need some major willpower... maybe the accountability of posting it here will help!
  • Just saw the other posters on this thread and if you don't mind.. I'm sending friend requests. I'd love to have people with similar interests along for my fitness journey, if you don't mind.. :)
  • Hi, I just saw this post. I started TKD in April after my 2 daughters started it in March.. we're all orange belts now and will be testing for green in October. I love it! I did it when I was younger and then again just after college but never really stuck with it long enough to progress beyond a blue belt. Hopefully this…
  • I completely agre that "clean" is an arbitrary term and means really different things to different people, but I think the gist is to go with as unprocessed, un-chemically altered foods as necessary and to choose whole grains over white flours and to steer away from sugars and other sweeteners that raise your blood sugar.…
  • Hi there, I just recently decided to try aiming for a "cleaner" diet in addition to just keeping my caloric/nutrient/fitness levels in check. I know that "clean" is an arbitrary term and means many different things to different people, but I think the gist is to go with as unprocessed, un-chemically altered foods as…
