My goodness @Jen2133 I cannot believe you're past your 30s let alone 50! You look so young and are obviously is great shape!! I would love to look half as good as you do when I'm 50. Also congrats to everyone for surviving the beginning of the holiday season without straying too far from your health/fitness goals! Only one…

@plainpixxel haven't eaten meat in about 5 years now - I think at this point if I just randomly added it back in, I'd get sick. I never particularly like chicken and I hated turkey, so Thanksgiving isn't a struggle for me, but I imagine one day maybe I would taste seafood again. I'm mainly vegetarian for environmental…

I'm going to be hanging out with my family all holidays, which will definitely involve too much food and too little exercise. I'm the only vegetarian though, so that definitely helps with portions. It's also only 3-4 days over Thanksgiving, so I can't do that much damage right?

Thanks @plainpixxel! Also, how did you get into a car accident?!?!! I don't think there's any wrong time to workout unless it's detracting from other aspects of your life. 4-5am would be suuuupperr early for me (I always go after work), but I know some people who only workout in the morning. And if you've generally been…

Thank you all for the congrats! I ran it faster than I thought because I was trying to keep up with a guy in front of me so that I didn't get lost lol Is anyone else making/meeting/exceeding goals this week? I'm going out if town this weekend and have a holiday party tomorrow at work, so I'm definitely gonna overeat a bit,…

I didn't have a specific goal this week, but I ran my first 5K this weekend and I won!! I then immediately went for bottomless mimosas, so it was a great morning :) I'm trying to maintain now which is harder than I thought - veggies are so filling!

@gogogadgette I love the word svelte, I'm so happy you used it! I feel like it's the perfect word for this thread. You have a crazy amount of things inhibiting your ability to exercise, so props to you for not letting that stand in the way of your fitness goals! Light weights can be more effective than heavy weights if you…

@mfpmishka I could be lol! I just measured for the first time in about a month and I'm now 58.5kg (129lb) and 89-61-97cm (35-24-38.5in) which I'm super excited about! I didn't think I could trim my waist anymore after I got it to 63/64cm. I don't think i'll get down to 57kg though - I'd have to lose my limited amount of…

@mom23mangos even when I weighed 72.5kg/160lbs the bones on my upper middle chest were still visible; I just don't store any fat on my upper torso and very little on my lower torso (which I guess is healthier than the opposite!). I just deal with it now, but it used to bother me more. On the plus side, I don't get the…

Hi there! I think this group already reached the peak of it's activity, but people do stop in from time to time (I do when I notice the notifications). My BMI is 19.8, as I'm 172cm (67.5in) and ~58kg/128lb. When I started following this thread, I had exactly the same BMI as you because I weighed ~61.5kg/135lb then! At…

I'm 172 cm (67.5 in) and I'm trying to eat 1400-1500 calories now. I lost a lot of fat eating only 1200, and now I'm veerrrryyy lean and am trying not to lose any more. I weigh 58kg/128lb and am actually having a hard time eating more calories (dumping more oil into my food while I'm cooking doesn't seem like the right way…

@sardelsa Congrats on reaching your goal; you look great - good luck with your bulk too! Also I always love the leggings you're wearing in your pictures; they're so awesomely colorful

Vanity sizing annoys me so much! Especially when the measurements on the size charts don't align to the actual size of the clothes. I don't care if I'm an XXS or a XL, but if your size chart says a Medium bust is 33-26 and the waist is 24-26, PLEASE just cut it that way! I basically only buy things online that have belts…

Hey @plainpixxel I just moved too! How did your food plan and exercise regimen go during the move? Have you found a new nutirtionist where you are now or are you close enough to see your old one? @midlomel1971 I think there's a difference between wanting to look like a VS/fitness/any model and wanting the look/feel of said…

I'm 172 cm (almost 5'8") and weigh around 130lbs now, but I have a tiny upper body (even when I weighed 170-180lbs, my waist only ever got to 73cm/29in) so I think I have a smaller frame in general even though I'm pretty curvy and my booty's substantial. I like how I look at this weight, but you can see the bones in the…

Hey all! I've been MIA recently because I'm starting a new job tomorrow :worried: and had to move almost 1000km/600 miles (I'm still actually figuring out long-term housing here :# ). This has thrown my entire schedule out of whack so I haven't had as much time to exercise and ate out a lot this past week. I've been able…

Egg drop soup is simple, fast, and gives you some protein which I've found soups can often lack. When I'm feeling lazy, I just boil 1-2 tbsps vegetarian oyster sauce, 1 tsp toasted sesame oil, and the white part of a scallion in water; then I slowly pour in a beaten egg while stirring the soup so it makes ribbons. You can…

Culver's is worth it every time. I always get their custard or a shake since I'm a vegetarian but it' sooooo good!

@KelseyRL and @ivyivy welcome! I feel like you should aim for goals that feel right for you, regardless of what other people are aiming for. Everyone's starting from a different place in different environments, so naturally we'll have different end goals and paths to them. As long as you're healthy and feeling good about…

Thanks all! I try to wait to eat until but events, but I'm used to eating a little bit all the time, so I get really hungry before, especially with evening events. At events, I'm also just not good at restraining myself from eating something once it's already in front of me. :# I try to share things, but I feel like…

@dubstepvideobody I've tried to learn Swedish a couple times because my dad's side of the family is Swedish, but the noun conjugations always got me - the line "My english is still better than your Swedish" definitely applies to me :D I would love to learn more languages than English and functional Spanish, but I find it's…

@WallyAmadeus I think culture definitely has something to do with it - food is a huge reward in the US, and quantity is often valued just as much as quality. One side of my family is from the Upper Midwest and all the family recipes from there are either dessert; filled with heavy cream, butter, sugars, etc.; or covered in…

I gave up on Target's pants years ago they have so many issues for me @mom23mangos. I used to want to sell clothes with a base size of 0/2/4/6/8/etc. but then also a gradation based on how big your boobs were for shirts and butt was for bottoms. Dresses would have both. I do realize that's not the most feasible model for…

I love h&m for blazers and the like too because they actually fit decently! The fact they they doing break the bank is an added bonus. I've found that a lot of the middle-range "nicer" clothes are often horribly vanity sized and have sized me out :( , and I don't have the money to buy actual brand name clothes, so I like…

congrats @dubstepvideobody !! I hurt my leg, so I haven't been doing as much exercise lately, so I'm still in the low 130s, which I'm okay with, especially since I've been visiting a lot of people on the weekends, and we've been going out to eat a lot more than I normally do. That's also why I've been posting less because…
-
Good luck on all your final projects @plainpixxel !! I remember mine being a race to finish at the end lol. They took all my waking hours in the final weeks, but I'm also nowhere near as organized as you - you'll probably be much more on top of things. Hi @timtam163 ! I feel like as long as your making healthy…

@wellnesschaser and @JeepHair77 for some reason exercise in general, but especially running always suppresses my hunger (but I'm still in my twenties) - did it always make you hungry and then get worse as you got older, or was this a new thing as you aged? I'll be really thirsty after I run, but never hungry. I also don't…

I just got back from visiting my family and I ate so poorly - mainly because I there were maybe 2 vegetables in the fridge at any one time. I can literally feel the water weight I've retained from all the salty and starchy food we ate and my skin is very upset with me. I did at least manage to run a few 5Ks while I was…
-
Yea @dubstepvideobody I'm with my family and don't even have cell phone service - I can only check things when I'm in my grandma's house using the wifi, so it's harder to respond! I've also definitely been eating more calories here because I can't cook for myself as much and the food's a lot more calorie dense. Also, when…

@MostlyWater I think putting a number on weight can be helpful for some, unhelpful for others. I do think you need to have a goal, whether that's for weight or fitness or measurements or feel. Depending on personality, your goals can be very specific or more general, but I don't think you'll get very far if you're not…
