What are your stats? Some older, shorter sedentary women would be in that range. I hate to arbitrarily say yes that's too low but usually haha.

I try and maintain over the winter but it doesn't always work that way. I still train but I'm lazy with my diet. This year I kept it together by some miracle lol Still trying to cut 10lbs to lean out but whether I do or don't isn't a huge deal I look pretty good now

I don't even really count it. I lift for an hour max and I take my time. My deficit is all diet and cardio the lifting is so I look good naked
-
I wish I could eat dinner earlier but with my work and gym schedule I have time for a snack before (i hate lifting after dinner) and I have to eat late. At the end of the day, whatever works with your schedule but don't force yourself to eat or not at a specific time because it makes no difference.

I average is 16K but when I first started I struggled to get 7. Increase slowly :)

For what it's worth my Charge 2 seems bang on with my observed TDEE vs rate of loss. My cardio is primarily walking so maybe that's why?

I'm not sure how MFP does it in terms of baseline activity. I use cronometer and I can set it to "no activity" as in IN A COMA. Not sedentary which accounts for some. It's literally my bmr (or guess) plus my fitbit data. I'm 5'6" 155lbs and I eat about 2K on a cut which will net me 1lb fat loss per week; just as a…

I eat lunch at 1pm; a snack when I come home at 5:30 then hit the gym and cook when I'm back usually 9 or 10
-
- parked my car and walk to work both ways 30min each (waited for this job for YEARS so I could do this haha) - walk another 30 on the first half of my lunch - lift 4x week - Sunday mornings I take a big coffee on my morning treadmill walk (it's still cold af in canada lol) - occasionally stand at my desk in the office…

Also if you DON"T control your diet you can do far more damage eating than you can undo with exercise.
-
I think we are all arguing semantics at this point. I think it's just easier to control your diet than it is to burn 500 calories through exercise. I can just skip breakfast and my deficit for the day is done vs running a 5K every single day. Neither is better, one is just more conveniently controlled by the individual.…

17K steps get's me about an extra 1K calories too. I'd eat that but like others have mentioned don't double dip by ALSO logging classes you do etc.
-
I guess it's not that much if your protein is prob around 100g and you're small so fats are probably lower than mine. Disregard my comment on your macros haha
-
That seems like a LOT of carbs for your height and weight. That being said, have you considered drinking them? Go to regular pop, fruit juices, chocolate milk. When my bf is bulking he drinks a lot of cals.

I wasn't in the Feb challenge but I would love to join the March one if that's okay! Starting weight - 240 March starting weight - 155 March goal - 151 Ultimate goal - 145 Lbs lost in March - none yet haha
-
Not sure why this is so surprising. My point was it's not your age that makes it difficult; it's not respecting the energy requirements for your activity level and goal.
-
I prefer larger meals and breakfast has never appealed to me so I do it by accident.
-
I'm 37 and I have no issue manipulating my weight any way I want. You're probably not eating 1K calories, or you are and then binging every third day because you are. Either way it's obviously not a good method for you.

The Costco size bag always begins with good intentions for me lol I'll let you guess how it ends!

I have been the spouse that got fat (later the spouse that got fit) and to be honest the unattractive part about weight gain in my case wasn't the fat itself it was the lethargy and therefore no real energy for anything, poor self image and therefore little sex, I was also depressed so I was bitchy and sad. I had a hard…

I do 10 x 12 fridge closes 5 x 5 stay out of the cupboards and I cool down with high intensity put the fork downs.
-
I prefer 2 larger meals vs smaller ones so I practice IF to help me adhere. It's personal preference really.
-
10 meals totaling 2K calories eaten every hour while you're awake is identical as 2 meals totaling 2k calories eating in a 4 hour window
-
I do accidental intermittent fasting. I hate breakfast and therefore never eat before 1pm. On the weekends I do get hungry at 11am but since I'm so used to my 1pm+ schedule I hold off until then. I don't know why but the earlier I eat the hungrier I am throughout the day, so this works as an adherence tool for me. CICO…

I'm 37 and I don't know what it's like to feel good in your 20s because I was fat BUT I bet I feel the same. Definitely feel great!

Love this analogy.

Diet is always #1. That being said, when I was 240lbs and cutting on 2200+ calories it was easy to be okay with "just diet" but now that I'm 155; do you know what my calories would be if I didn't exercise? You don't want to trust me lol I STILL cut on 2K and it's thanks to exercise. It's just more humane and therefore…

I eat meat but most people whose diets have more carbs than protein in them probably eat plant based too.

I meal prep every sunday. I didn't start this until about October 2017 but now I won't go back. I'm a creature of habit so I will eat the same work lunch for MONTHS and enjoy it just as much in October as I do in Jan hahah Is that an option for you?
