Products of Interest: CANADIAN Edition
So Halo Top is out, but would love for Canadians to share some products that caught their eye that we can actually buy. I found a yummy BBQ sauce for 10 cals/2tbs called Guy's Award Winning BBQ sauce which I am not putting on all my chicken, just in time for bbq season! Still waiting impatiently on Halo Top lol

Lab Grown Meat... would you?
https://youtu.be/u468xY1T8fw I wonder if this would be cheaper to buy than traditional meat? I'd definitely give it a go! Thoughts?

What are your cut calories?
I know this varies WILDLY just wanted to see who is managing with the most calories and still able to lose. I'm pretty consistently eating about 2K which at one point was my maintenance haha. Love to see who's able to up their NEAT/TDEE and managing to cut on a decent amount of food. I'm 37, 5'6" and 155lbs for reference

Instant Pot Recipes?
I'm on a few of the IP Facebook groups but most of the recipes there are pretty calorie dense. Any MFPers who also use their Instant Pot while cutting? Would love some of your go-to meal ideas!

Any Cronometer users?
Recently I switched to tracking on Cronometer so I could more easily see what micros I was falling short on, and if I'm completely honest because I'm a total geek for data. Turns out I suck at calcium, vit e and k haha. Anyone else monitor micros? What I'm finding is it's really hard to fit even 20% of my calories with…

PSA: Weighing Ice Cream in grams
Weighing Ice Cream when the nutrition label is in mL but mL of ice cream is not the same as mL of water therefore to weigh it in grams... it's about half of that (125mL = approximately 60g.) Just thought I'd put this out there for the smart *kitten* that think 1ml = 1g and "have always done it this way and still lose"…

Open Diaries vs Closed Diaries
I really don't care either way but curious to know if you have any thoughts on whether one or the other leads to more or less success?

Calorie hoarding
So psychologically I need to have cals left over for the evening so I typically leave myself 400 cals to snack on but lately I've found I eat later dinners and therefore have tons of food I have to eat (and yes I have to because my deficit would be stupid if I didn't) and I feel like I lose either way. Any calorie hoarders…

Watermark your pics!
So I found out that one of my friends who lost a ton of weight had her before and afters taken by a lady selling ketones or other garbage. Since all weight loss supplements are gimmicks this is the only way these animals can get picture testimonials... don't let your hard work help someone scam others out of money and…

Garmin Vivomove Classic
So I've ALWAYS been a Fitbit user, and I do love my Fitbit but Costco had the Garmin Vivomove at a really great price and it's cute af so I bought it knowing they have a great return policy anyhow. Does anyone have this particular model? I really want to love it because I don't have to charge it but a couple years ago I…

Just added up my monthly grocery expenses - I'm sick
So I kept wondering why me and my bf had to inject extra money into our joint account regularly so I re-did our budget and I looked back on the last 2 months of expenses. We spent 900.00 on groceries alone in June and that doesn't even include the takeaway or couple dinners out we do. I'm scared to tally those items on top…

Low carb salad dressings
Day 1 of my n=1 experiment with fats at 100g and carbs way lower (ended up being 70 today because of my balsamic and they just add up with certain vegetables haha) I'd like to find an alternative to the blasamic glaze I'm using with olive oil to dress my lunch salad for obvious reasons. What do you guys use as salad…

Day 3 of Dirty Keto
Well I've decided to taper down my carbs rather than cold turkey and it's day 3 and while I have had 70g/50g net I managed to hit potassium and magnesium pretty bang on through whole foods. Definitely depleting glycogen because I 'lost' 3lbs that I definitely don't deserve to lose thermodynamically speaking bit whatever…

Who's trodded both paths?
So when I initially came to MFP in 2012 I was low carb; following the Atkins diet and restricting to below 20g daily and lost my first 20lbs. It really was impossible for me to stick to long term because I would literally perspire when I smelled baked goods lol I slowly increased carbs and for the rest of the time, I…

Meet Chocolatine
We finally picked this adorable little ball of fur up from the breeder yesterday. We planned a quiet day without the kids in case he was too scared to come out of the closet (we didn't want them to bother him if he wanted his solitude while he adjusted to his forever home) Anyway he wanted nothing to do with dark corners…

OG MFPers Question about Macros to the gram
Before UA bought MFP there was a script sent to me by a user where you could run it and select macros to the gram vs being stuck with the % figure. Anyone know what I'm talking about and if it's still usable etc?

Fitbit vs Garmin "earned calories"
When I was wearing my Fitbit I would normally earn about 500 exercise cals based on activity for doing this much activity but my Garmin is giving me poverty calories for equalish steps. I was wearing both to compare Does anyone else notice a huge difference if they went from one to the other? My observed tdee on average is…

Potassium
My bf is on one about potassium for muscle growth and blood pressure... there is a lot of info online but the amounts suggested are insane. How much potassium do you get on any given day? I am now starting to track mine (and yes I realize that most of the database foods don't have it lol) but even checking against usda…

Eggs Benny Cals
Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I'm planning on having a 2500 calorieish day. Do you think a greasy spoon type Eggs Benny would be around 1100 cals with potatoes/home fries as a good estimate? I'm planning to ask for the hollandaise on the side so I can eyeball as best I can without it swimming in it but I've pre-logged a…

Give them a food complex or teach them a value of a calorie?
So on weekends my kids have a "budget" of 150 calories; they can pick whatever they want from our treat cupboard. I don't know how many calories they eat, but I thought it would be a good idea to show them that a) things have calories and b) depending on what you pick you could get more or less etc. Yay or nay? They're 7 &…

Question about warnings/banning
It says warnings expire but let's say you got one a few months ago, then you get another.... do those points stay accumulated even though the warning "expired"? Also if you get banned can you keep tracking your macros on mfp?
