Any Cronometer users?

Recently I switched to tracking on Cronometer so I could more easily see what micros I was falling short on, and if I'm completely honest because I'm a total geek for data. Turns out I suck at calcium, vit e and k haha. Anyone else monitor micros? What I'm finding is it's really hard to fit even 20% of my calories with typically "dirty" foods (i hate using that word but for lack of a better term) unless I exercise a decent amount to fit both :/ I didn't realize how crappy my diet was in terms of micros before!

I use Cronometer because they offer tracking of specific amino acids and that is of interest to me. I also appreciate how complete the database is for basic foods without duplicate/inaccurate entries so using their Recipe Builder feature is much easier than . . . um, some other sites. *Ahem*

I would note that if you're eating some pre-prepared foods, they sometimes don't have *all* the nutrients listed so it can look like you're falling really short on some micronutrients (like if I log a Clif bar, it only has the major nutrients, it doesn't include the things like vitamin E and phosphorus that I know are in there). When you pull up an entry in the database, it will usually tell you how many nutrients are listed -- I think 76 is the full amount of data, but some pre-prepared foods have as little as 10 or 20.

I use Cronometer, and it actually pushes me to eat even more whole foods since I like having the data. If I log a packaged thing or a Snapkitchen lunch or something I realize that some of the nutrients won't be included and just use my judgment when reviewing the day.

I think with whole foods and specific items you use a lot (so create your own entry), it's easier and faster than MFP, since you don't have to wade through all the excess nonsense.

I use Cronometer every day, and if I have a chance, I log over here too. I really appreciate the accuracy and completeness of it and being able to see where the nutritional information is sourced from. I do miss the ability to import recipes, but because the entries are, as janejellyroll pointed out, more accurate and better matched it's not much slower to enter them.

I've been using mfp for years so you can just imagine the recipes I have built up over that time. I think that's the most heartbreaking part. In the long run I feel it'll be worth it after these growing pains haha

I hear you. It wasn't a huge sacrifice for me because a lot of my recipes on mfp were from before I stopped eating meat and dairy, but now that I have dozens of recipes in Cronometer, switching would be more painful.
