Eggs Benny Cals

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I'm planning on having a 2500 calorieish day. Do you think a greasy spoon type Eggs Benny would be around 1100 cals with potatoes/home fries as a good estimate? I'm planning to ask for the hollandaise on the side so I can eyeball as best I can without it swimming in it but I've pre-logged a 1.25 x serving from Denny's to be safe. I don't know why I'm geeking out for one day with trying to be accurate but I'm a data nerd lol what say you?

I think it could easily be that many.

Seems like a reasonable plan. Enjoy your Mother's Day brunch with the family and don't worry overmuch about the calories for one day.

Totally depends on the amount of potatoes. The Eggs Benedict part will be about 400 cals plus Hollandaise sauce (which looks to be just under 70 cals per tbsp). Assuming two eggs (and therefore a whole English muffin), you're looking at 150 cals for the poached eggs, 150ish cals for the English muffin, 100ish cals for the two pieces of ham (or Canadian bacon or whatever you call it). If you had 2 tbsp Hollandaise per egg (for a total of 4 tbsp), that'd put you up to 680ish cals for the eggs benedict. Totally worth it, as far as I'm concerned.

So, unless you go totally crazy with the potatoes (or use way more Hollandaise than I was guessing), 1100 cals ought to cover it.

It is one day one meal and if you enjoy it then you are worth it. It's one meal and you might go over daily calories but it's not going to undo your progress. Enjoy life.

I can enjoy life and still try to decide whether or not the calories in a meal are worth it to me. I mean, maybe I'll decide I would rather have a half portion and some yogurt? I have 6 major celebrations in May. If I decide to say "Scr*w it" for every one, then yeah, that could cause some issues. I can enjoy life and be conscientious at the same time.

We did the exact same math hahaha I'm not planning to have more than an eyeballed cup of potatoes so I think you're right. Thanks for the feedback

You have a busy May good luck. That is way more than one meal but you should still enjoy life and not let the food cause stress. What ever you decide to eat don't let it cause you worry.
