I don't around my period but I can set a clock to the 2lbs I gain at ovulation

losing .5lbs a week is definitely not starving, and adding even more calories would put her at maintenance. I'm confused by your suggestion.

I"m 5'6 @ 155lbs and I eat 1850-2K to lose 1lb/week. I'm pretty active

I definitely think my eating is a bit disordered; not because I track but because I sometimes binge; I think about food too often; a couple of other things I can't recall. Not much I can do about that other than therapy (which I can't afford and it's not affecting my life negatively) I think being aware of your intake,…

Did the participants also lose weight? I know that can reverse type 2

I average about 15K steps/day. I have a desk job but walk to work, walk on lunch and walk after lifting most days

I'm 155 @ 5'6" and I lose 1lb/week on 2K but I also get about 15+K steps in a day and lift 4/week. I don't track here though, I use cronometer so if you're looking to add friends that log here; I'm out haha

I eat most of my food after 7. At about 11pm I have 2 soft boiled eggs on buttered toast. Eat when it suits you while respecting your caloric goal.
-
I walk to work and I live in Ontario, does that count? lol

It's great that you are accidentally creating a deficit but your macro split or meal timing doesn't have anything to do with your success. Are you tracking? or just avoiding carbs and fasting?
-
For example, this is the nutritional data of a Big Mac lol
-
This is why I started logging in Cronometer in November. Much cleaner database and it tracks micros based on USDA data

I recently got into it with someone about a Big Mac being a health food (I believe it *can* be) The thing about the popular demonizing of certain foods as healthy or unhealthy is that any food is unhealthy and any food can be healthy; IN THE CONTEXT OF YOUR OVERALL DIET. You can't single out a Big Mac as being unhealthy…

Starvation mode (for anyone with bodyfat) is a myth. You *think* you are eating 900/day but your body is keeping a more accurate journal for you. Weigh your food and x-ref USDA entries to ensure you're logging correctly. Also it's unnecessary to eat that few calories in your situation; but it's been established that you…

I'm 5 years deep, a 15lb slide, and a lot of exhaustion in too. Could have written this myself. No advice but I feel ya xx

It *is* a vegetable but I use it interchangeably with bread/rice/pasta. If I'm making a meal of meat, green beans and potatoes I consider that my starchy carb that just so happens to be another vegetable. I meal prep on Sundays and I remember a FB group ripping me apart for having ONLY potatoes and sloppy joes for lunch…

As long as the person didn't totally disregard fitness/nutrition I wouldn't mind if they didn't train etc. I lucked out, met my bf in a FB lifting group and imported him to Ontario from Quebec 2 years ago lol

I have a cup of sushi rice cooked with sugar and rice vinegar a few times a week, it's delicious and filling! I do more often than not try and reach for potatoes because they have a lot of potassium and I find if I use up a lot of my carbs on rice I won't get the RDA but rice is absolutely fine.

I would say that's active to very active. I have a desk job but I'm very active as I walk to and from work, lift and do extra cardio. I get about 15K daily steps and at 5"6" @ 155lbs my (observed) tdee is about 2500

I'm not sure if it would take more energy to keep your body cool in a hot one vs warm in a cold. I think a 10 minute walk to your mailbox might be better personally lol
-
Mine is synched with my cronometer which has an option for "in a coma" vs sedentary so I eat back every last one; no issues lol

I'm in Canada and my go-to's are Wendy's, Subway, Panera, Swiss Chalet (kinda fastish food) but I can usually make anything work. By far Wendy's is my fave; they have amazing options. Chili, chicken grill, their salads are 11/10 <3

2-3 years IIFYM; lots of Big Macs and Dominos but mostly whole foods Started with SL 5x5 and moved to PHUL, daily steps 12-15K/2K calories on a cut
-
Cant think of one. I definitely have a lot less of them or less frequently but I would rather be fat than give up foods I enjoy; I'm glad I don't have to choose
-
just read the other replies, sorry to beat a dead horse on the potatoes but I really love love love them for the potassium alone haha
-
White potatoes are one of the healthiest carbs I eat. Do you know how much potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper and zinc are in 200g of potatoes which is only 158 cals?!
-
As long as you're getting min. fats who cares if you're over? I get 120g protein and carbs are anywhere between 170-200g whereas fats are consistently at 70. Could I eat less? Sure. Do I want to? Nope. The foods that I prefer to eat have me naturally fall here so why fix what isn't broke? ETA: Provided it still works with…

Absolutely agree. When I gained back 15lbs over the last 2 years I didn't curse my metabolism, my genes or my lack of secret nutritional knowledge. It was 100% my personal responsibility and I was and always am in control.
