Add 1lb of spinach to your next lunch. See how hungry you feel after that. In the past few weeks for the first time since starting my cut 45lbs ago in November I needed to reduce my portions of green veg (and eat some more calorie dense foods) because I've been getting too full. Spinach has been a mainstay, but I can't eat…

Really depends on your goals I suppose. My goal is to be sub 10% bodyfat at the end of the cut, and to get no higher than about 15% in the long term afterwards. I have no intention of measuring it directly, but when my lower abs are truly cut up I know I can switch to maintenance and have room to put on a little weight too.

So? for the purposes of this discussion they're sufficiently synonymous. Eg. I've eliminated/avoided bread. I mean the same thing whichever word I might pick that moment.
-
Yes it is. "What foods do you avoid?" "Nothing". That's obviously a valid answer. It flat out answers the question, just as clearly as me answering with "bread." I'm not sure what your issue with realism is, but it doesn't seem to be the complaint in your prior post.

Also, it's an answer (among a myriad of others) to the question the OP asked. It just is. There's no getting around that. No alternative to avoiding the answer except to avoid the question.
-
ITT everyone (legitimately) answered the OP's question as it pertains to them though. "Nothing" is a valid answer. The only way to avoid your tiredness with that stuff being a way to answer every question, would be to stick to questions that don't have that stuff as a valid answer. This question isn't one of them.

I avoid bread, because every bit of bread I could be eating, I think, why not chocolate? And then I eat chocolate

you look terrific, congrats

Walked into a new job in November after backsliding into obesity, and literally everybody lifts (and nobody's afraid of chocolate or whatever). That made it pretty easy to commit to starting to lift & eat properly again on my own, and now in the last couple of weeks I've got a membership and go with my colleagues after…

best I've done is 40kg x 5 at about 180lbs, and 17 reps at the same bodyweight in underhand chins. At the moment I'm doing 8.5kgx3 sets of 5 in chinups from a rope @ 191lbs, which is murder on the forearms/grip.

I go to gym after work and we warmup with a circuit of a few exercises & stretches with little to no rest, 20 minutes of continuous cardio, and then to the weights, only as long as the other person takes to do sets. At home I do a nice powerlifting style routine on my own and rest a good 5 minutes between sets. Maybe even…

iteration of things people struggle to grasp is good. forums are an ideal, uh, forum for that. Also if a thread stops at 3 posts it is dead and nobody will read it. If it matters to people, a given discussion will have a lot of redundancy built in.

I love everything about this sentence

i read your latest replies, I agree with you

Foods lacking in nutrients are not "unhealthy". If I eat 90% whole unprocessed nutrient rich foods, and 10% processed sugars, it does not follow that 90% of my diet is healthy and 10% is unhealthy. It is NOT the case that I am eating unhealthy foods in moderation. "Unhealthy" only exists in CONTEXT (dosage of poisons,…

A calorie isn't a calorie if you mean by "calorie" the stuff that isn't calories, but that's a confused way to have a conversation.
-
That might have something to do with westerners being much fatter. It takes a lot of energy to move a bigger body through a sedentary life.
-
Rather than stuff with no energy in them, or the decline of pirates? Are you mad?

*looks down at my ferrero rocher* no.

which day you log the food on will have absolutely no effect on whether you gain or not. your average maintenance/calorie balance over time will.

at home: that lb of spinach and 1/2 lbs of cod with gherkins and a little relish will stuff those cravings up pretty quick with minimal calories for maximum nutrition and bulk and I get on with other things. at work: yes I love food I will have that cookie. let me buy us all cookies. (discreetly counts 500 calories of…

all I know is that when I'm moving back to maintenance I won't be adding extra protein! instead I will have even more delicious ferrero rocher and exotic restaurant desserts than what I'm already eating of them. maybe a little more beer. But yeah, minimum level of protein and essential fats, higher carbs on workout days,…

Eat dinner and enjoy it. Maybe skip dessert. You're good. If dinner is 800 calories, nothing is sabotaged. You have a lot of room to live it up when your cals are that low. One day of 2K will be good for you, your body, and should be good for you psychologically. That shouldn't be a bad day, it should be an extra good day!…
