  • That was your brother's marriage, not yours. You can learn from the mistakes others made.
  • I got 4 different flavors at GNC a couple months back. I tried a small bit room temp, then microwaved to see which I liked better. I didn't like any of the flavors at all. Oh well.
  • I'm Lactose Intolerant. I switch between Lactaid milk and Vanilla Soymilk depending on if my husband is also eating what I'm cooking. Lucky guy gets to drink whole milk.
  • I don't pay too much attention to doctor scales for a few reasons: I'm wearing clothes [including shoes and sometimes multiple layers], and I may have already eaten before I head to the doctors. But for 26 lbs, one of the scales is wrong.
  • It's tough to go it alone in your house, my husband is not on the same diet as I am. Just work on you right now. Maybe ask a friend to by your gym buddy. Also, talk to him if you haven't. If he still insists he'll work out with you, tell him you'll wait 5-10 minutes max and then do your own thing. Good luck.
  • Eat at least some of your exercise calories back. Drink plenty of water. Weigh your food. Are you being 100% completely honest about what you eat and how much of it? That's a big thing when trying to lose weight.
  • Mine didn't shrink at all after 50 pounds. I had breast reduction surgery to get them smaller. [40 G - 36 H during weight loss. Down to 36 D/DD after surgery.] It all depends on how much breast tissue vs fat you have in there.
  • Maybe next time do the research before you buy, you waste less money and food that way. See if you have a friend or family member who wants to try it, instead of throwing it away.
  • I agree with whoever said to stick to 1200-1300 a day and eat back exercise calories. It doesn't usually need to be any more difficult than that. If you don't want to get confused and discouraged too fast, stick to just counting calories for now and once you get used to that start to do macros.
  • Could be water weight. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water. Could also be poop weight. Being irregular and trying to lose weight sucks when weighing in. Could also be that you're not weighing yourself at the same time each time you weigh in. I usually weigh myself when I wake up, after I pee, completely naked. Don't…
  • Everyone's breasts are going to react differently depending on how much actual breast tissue you have in them. Mine didn't change, even after 50 pound loss. I had to get a reduction to get them smaller. [36H to 36 D-DD with reduction.]
  • My husband used this site before he left to AF basic: http://www.hundredpushups.com/test.html#sthash.cjuH4uJI.dpbs
  • How's that helpful.. at all? To OP: My brother-in-law only eats cause he has to. He thinks it's a chore and is only wiling to eat certain things because he has an issue with texture as well. So you're not alone in not enjoying eating. Find something you like to eat and stick with it, but in healthy portions. Maybe cut out…
  • How much is a little? Since you went over a couple of days it could be extra waste. If this continues for a few weeks then you may need to adjust, but one week with a little gain isn't something to worry too much about.
  • Been about 2 years since I started losing weight and I'm still surprised when I look in the mirror. Took about a year the first time I started seeing changes in my body.
  • I just moved in near St. Louis. I don't have any suggestions but I'm probably going to go to some places listed here. :>
  • Not really. I find that women with muscles can be very beautiful [I picked this because I don't know anyone who has their goal to be really thin, but I do know some who want to build muscles]. But it's not something I would like to have for my own body. It's a personal preference. Same with being any shape at all that…
  • My weight has been at a stand-still since getting on anti-depressants. A bit of up-and-down but nothing drastic. Any chance you could get a new doctor? Tell them your biggest concern is weight gain and work with them on that. The sad part about having anxiety/depression is that right now it's very much a guess and check…
  • My Nana [70ish] walked into an old-folks home we were volunteering at and one of the men who lived there dropped his jaw and was very attentive to the activities we were doing.
  • Same here. If you lose weight you can be the 'straight' or possibly hour glass figure, but you can't change where the fat decides to sit on you. You can't spot reduce, and you can't push your fat to other parts of your body to get your desired shape.
  • You're the one who started with the joking about you not being able to eat any. : | I'm confused. If he wants to eat pizza, let him. Don't get all passive aggressive with your "jokes" and get all upset when he plays along, thinking it's all innocent fun.
  • How do you get a deficit of 1800??
  • Just keep doing what you're doing. It's hard to live with someone who's less than supportive but you have to do this for you. Have an adult conversation with him, if you have then have it again. If he doesn't want to change his lifestyle right now [or ever] then so be it; but there's no reason he can't acknowledge your…
  • When I got out of the hospital from my gallbladder surgery the first thing i ate was a Chipotle burrito. Just try to stay away from overly fatty foods, and that's only cause it's an inconvenient to have the runs right after you eat.
  • Hang in there. Sometimes parents are the ones holding us back and getting us down. It's like that for plenty of us here on MFP. When she tries to get you down just remind yourself that you have already accomplished so much by losing the weight you've already lost and continuing to stick to it.
  • Why should it be avoided? If it works with your schedule then do it.
  • Mine is Nana. My husband's is Mama, pronnounced 'mawmaw'.
  • I was in the same classes as my husband before I asked him out so I got to see his personality and that we had a lot in common. + He's smart and I like smart guys. Sorry you're not having any luck with the ladies, but no need to call all of us shallow.
  • I asked my husband out on our first date :>
