  • Let it out girl, we're here to listen! (but eating will not help... just think of how great you will feel when you lose weight, and you look so great - this is what you are doing FOR YOU and not for anyone else ;) keep up the good work!! Tomorrow will be a better day (well, it cant be worse, right?) xo
  • Also, get a scale to weigh your food and a heart rate monitor to see how much you are burning in exercise. Sometimes MFP is way off on the calories burned and also when I eyeball things for size they are WAY off what the scale says :)
  • Its hard but you WONT see results right away. This is a marathon not a sprint!! The thing I tell myself is that I didnt put the weight on in 2 days, how can I expect it to come off in 2 days?? Just keep up the good work, it will all pay off in the end!!!
  • Whenever I can... last quarter it was always at night after work, I'd have the most energy after eating all day. But now I have to work 10:30-7:30 so I am working out in the mornings :)
  • Are you still doing weight watchers? Welcome and remember you can do this!
  • Change is good and helpful. Welcome and just do the best that you can. Remember its a journey not a sprint!!
  • Also I'm not sure eating more calories is better. I have never eaten those exercise calories back. Just try eating more protein :)
  • Wow your diary is interesting. I would starve if that's what I ate, try cutting the butter, bread, peanut butter out and eating Greek yogurt, fruit, egg whites... Healthier things? Yesterday almost all your calories were from the pie/ice cream. You need some protein to build muscle to drop the pounds. Also get a heart rate…
  • I'm very lazy. :) so maybe a protein milk shake or Greek yogurt and strawberries. Or none at all
  • Thanks everyone! :) I knew I loved this site for a reason, lol.
  • Just recently got into it. Not avid follower but it is inspiring. I missed the last 2 episodes of last season (who won??? Hopefully Ada she was awesome and my marathon inspiration in December) and then last night I only watched an hour and a half. :) But yes I agree the stories are phenomenal. It bothers me though when…
  • Article sounds like my husband, "I feel fat" does sit ups and push ups for an hour the next day his 6 pack is back. :explode: He also dropped 40 pounds without trying meanwhile I am a slave to the running. :) I like the tips though, maybe I will try them.
  • Not sure if this was said but I use Iron Rub then go for a quick jog to loosen up. :) (Smells like icyhot)
  • It is okay to feel this way... I think we all do. I don't deprive myself of anything. If I crave it, I have it. You name it. Cookies, cake, pizza (especially pizza), wings, burgers... I just now do it healthier. ONE cookie instead of 10 (I only even bake 5 or 6 to prevent this [my husband eats the rest]) or have one to two…
  • @Kate - Hmm, doesn't sound like me at all. LOL  Thanks for trying though haha.
  • LOL did you write the novel down? Maybe could've made some money. :):) Good idea with the legs workout.. I am a runner and sometimes they DO bother me I will do some lunges later lol.
  • LOL I work 2 doors from a Whole Foods, we call it "Whole Paycheck" because that's what you spend when you go in. In all seriousness, the Robusto cheese is amazing!!!!!! (well not that healthy but you need dairy) and the 365 brand (their brand) of pita chips are great and reasonably priced.
  • Interesting. Never thought of it that way before. Thanks for posting; much appreciated!!
  • 2 pounds is really not a lot. I weigh about 130 and some days I will go up to as much at 135 the day after a grueling workout (water retention) and some days I will go down to 128. I would say keep up what you are doing and try to weigh in again in a week. How tall are you? At most heights I think 140 is in the "normal"…
  • I tried to stay within the percentage guidelines but did not follow it to a T. I think it is important to up your protein and eat your exercise cals if you'd like to build muscle, but other than that, I see no need to follow everything precisely as long as you are making wise decisions in regards to food.
  • Great job - you look fantastic! Your toning really shows. :)
  • Depends on your level of fitness. Lean gears more toward cardio, while the classic has more weights/push ups/pull ups. I personally did the double program when I was just starting to get back into shape meaning I did P90x in the morning (classic) and on the non cardio days I also went for a run. I do not suggest this: The…
  • I think twice since February I hit my cals dead on. :) I try to be under since my loss per week is set low. That way I can lose slightly more than is built in. :)
  • Hey! I'm in Jax. Where are you? Running is great - if you have shin splints, you might just need new shoes! I recommend going to a running store (The one I frequent is 1st Place Sports) and have them fit you and see what they say. :) PS This cool weather is GREAT isn't it?!
  • Happy (late) Veteran's Day - thank you for your service. Have a great weekend!
  • I would chat with your doc! :) It could be a bunch of things, and in my opinion, I am in complete agreement with the talking/singing comment, but depending on underlying issues etc it might be good just to make sure. I am 22 and I frequently exercise at 180 which is at the very highest for my age, but have been okayed by…
  • Well, I can't see your diary; try again more lean meats, proteins, complex carbs - Also you might not be eating ENOUGH to sustain your weight loss. Either way, there is a reason you are hungry. :) Trick: If you think you are hungry, imagine a steak. If you would eat it, you are hungry. Then try with an apple. If you answer…
  • Yeah the walmart brand is just as good - maybe they have a white grape!!!
  • Lol, I love when my husband runs on the treadmill @ 10-12 mph (god knows I couldn't go that fast) then I see him struggling for a 5k, and I think about people who go THAT FAST for SO LONG. Sheesh.
