Hi! I'm 47 and starting MFP again after not using it for almost a year. Just before I turned 40, I lost 70 lbs. but over the last 7 years the weight has crept back to over 200. I'm ready to do this and am looking for accountability friends as well! I'm perimenopausal with osteopenia and a liver disease so I really want to…

I tried managing it for a year with St. John's Wort and Magnesium but it was not improving, actually steadily got worse. I finally started on Cymbalta in February and ....wow. I can't believe how much better I feel!

I've been off MFP for about a year and decided to get back to it since I can't afford (or want) to buy new clothes. What stinks is that the year I turned 40 I lost 70 lbs training to walk in a half…

I got a very short letter from the OB saying my results showed I was not in menopause...well, duh I'm still getting my period (sometimes on a normal cycle, sometimes flucuating). It's too bad there doesn't seem to be a reliable test for peri-meno. I've had my thyroid checked multiple times now and that's always fine. I'm…

Your knee might be hurting because you only used one insert. Every foot doctor I've seen (3 and counting) says you have to wear both to make sure everything is aligned properly. You might want to see a podiatrist. It sounds like you might have a neuroma or Morton's Toe. Typically, they start you on orthotics to see if that…

Hi, I'm Debbie. I live in the St. Louis area. I'm 44 years old, divorced, no kids (except the furry kinds!), and have been in a committed relationship with the best man ever for 1.5 years. I work as a Supervisor in an Accounting department. I'm originally from Chicago. I've always been heavy except for twice in my life.…
