There are lots of good videos out there, take it from an exercise video junkie. I would suggest looking at your local library to try things out or if you have netflix they have a wide variety of instant play. Also someone told that cable/sat companies with on demand have some too. You may have to try out some to see what…

Audio books are awesome. I am a total book addict, but do a lot of different things (such as stained glass, mosaics, etc..) So since I need my eyes for those things I listen to books to get my "fix". You should try it. Most libraries carry audio and at my library you can download audio straight to an mp3 player!! And keep…

Journaling food and exercise is very enlightening!! I never realized how many calories I was eating (even though most were healthy) until I started writing things down. Also if you go to the online version you can find lots of new friends to help with support and motivation on your journey. Welcome.

Pilates are great!! There is a website out there called Pilates on 5th, they have a workout library (Ultimate Pilates) that has many many workouts on their free membership. I have a pilates reformer at home and have purchased several of their "for a fee" workouts. But beware pilates can be very tough.

Weight fluctuates daily, I only weigh myself once a week--a little less frustrating. The hard part is to win the battle with yourself not to get on the scale every time you are near it. Pick a day and time and try to do your weigh in at that time every week, it might help. Although I do not know what your goals are, I read…

Welcome to MFP, joining is the first step. I have been on MFP for about a month or so but didnt really start to "use" the site until last week when I joined Battle of the Bulge challenge--which is a great group of people let me tell you. So much encouragement and moderator for the challenge is great! You can friend me if…

I buy the plain 0% Fage or if not available the 0% Chobani, I add my own fruit or a little bit of honey. You can also use Greek Yogurt as a substitute for sour cream.

I agree, thinking positive is the first (and in my opinion largest) hurdle to jump in the journey toward success!! Dont give up, just hang in there and keep working toward your goal. Taking measurements does help, I have a friend that was not budging the scale but her clothes were looser and she was losing inches.

I decided to buy the book and start reading. Dont think I am up for their challenge as I havent even read the book yet, but I am excited about reading it. Good thing I have an ereader that I can put it on!!! Friend me if you like. Barb
