  • Awwww thanks!!! I try but I don't think I have good posture most of the time. I need to think about it when I'm sitting at my desk
  • Yes me too! I am relatively out of breath but that isn't what causes me to take breaks, it's the muscles getting tired. I'm noticing tireness more in week 2, although I'm not sore at all anymore. Now I think it's just a case of pressing on and getting stronger so I can start to push myself. I find Pure Cardio the WORST, I…
  • WELL DONE!! I am nervous about month 2 already and I'm only 2 days into the 2nd week of month 1!! haha!! I'm telling myself that this round of insanity (my first) is for me to do the best I can and just keep going, if that means some days are better than others, then that's fine. It's not going to be the end of my fitness…
  • Done with day 10!!! I find the Pure Cardio workout SO hard, I had to stop so much! I guess it could also just be general tiredness though - how did you guys feel by the 3rd/4th week? Were you still struggling a bit in the 2nd week? I'm feeling better on all the other workouts.
  • I feel ya too! Pure Cardio for me today... intense. It's the one I found hardest so far so dreading it a little! Still, once I'm done with today I've done 10 days which means 1/6 complete!!
  • Day 1 on the left, day 9 on the right, can't believe how much that little bloat has disappeared!!
  • Well done!!! I know the feeling, I just completed day 9, and I can't believe I'm already in week two and can already notice a difference in myself and my ability to do a bit more. I took a side by side pic and thought I would post it as I couldn't believe the change in 1 week. I'll post it in my next post
  • Thanks for all the helpful replies!' I absolutely agree nutrition is king! I started eating completely clean (with an occasional treat) and I feel good! There's no way I'm doing insanity and wasting all the effort with bad nutrition!! I just want to make sure I'm eating enough calories :) Confidence booster today, I just…
  • Yep I've heard that about month two as well! Tbh I'm kind of scared of month two haha! But I'm committed to do the program through to the end as it was intended once, then if I re-do it I might modify it, or just throw in the workouts as and when
  • Just finished pure cardio, first workout with no breaks... woah that was hard!! I just did what I could and took breaks when I needed to (which lets face it was during every exercise!! I know 5 days is too soon to start seeing results lol, but I'm impatient and my irrational mind is telling me I won't change, even though…
  • That's really interesting. I have noticed it's mostly lower body too, but Im planning to do p90x3 straight after which should help my upper body. I'm nearing the end of week 1 and so far I haven't lost any weight and my measurements haven't changed, but I'm really sore so I know I'm doing something. I guess I'm hoping for…
  • I just did cardio recovery today (day 4 so first time). I actually found it quite hard, it's definitely showed up my weak muscles so I think it'll be good for strenthening those up. I'm only on day 4, so don't really expect to see any results yet, but I guess I am scared of going through this program and NOT seeing any…
  • That's incredible!!! Congrats!!!
  • Thanks! I will try that! How do you estimate how many calories you burned? Do you enter them in MFP?
  • That's good to know! I'm not skipping either :) But defnitely have that can barely walk down the stairs feeling haha! During the actual workout it was ok, it's the rest of the time that's an issue haha!! I look like an old lady walking around
  • You look inredible!! I'm 5 ' 5" too and currently sitting at 150 and your before looks JUST like me, my goal is also between 120-125 so to see your afters is very inspiring :)
  • Just finished day 3. Didn't feel the soreness in my legs as much once we'd done the warmup so that's good. I'm super proud of myself for sticking with this and feeling good! I have a long way to go with my health and fitness but I'm excited to see what the 60 days will bring. I'm planning on doing round 2 straight after I…
  • Mine too!!! Sounds like we're on exactly the same day, and it's my calves hurting me the most too! I'm thinking of looking up some 10-15minute yoga flexibility videos to do alongside this as I think my muscles need a really good stretch out
  • You're brave!! But yes my legs need a break. They are KILLING me today (day 3), did your legs hurt like hell on day 3? How am I supposed to get through today's workout? Think I'll just have to do what I can. Hopefully it gets better in week two... Will I stop hurting even if I keep working out while I'm still sore?
  • Good Luck! I am on day 3 tomorrow so cardio power and resistance I think - What's that one like? I am on my 2nd week of clean eating and glad I am doing it alongside Insanity. Hope it helps maximise my results
  • Haha that's good to know!! I will just keep pressing on with week 1 and do what I can... I am actually so excited to start feeling stronger though
  • Just finished day 2 and maaaaaan I can feel it in my legs. I had to take a lot of breaks but I kept jumping in at the beginning of each set and doing as much as I could. Is it normal that the first week is awful and I potentially can't do everything because of sore muscles? Does it get easier after week 1? I'm so excited…
  • Hi Everyone!! I just started my fit test today as well, can I join? I really want to stick to the 60 days. I did the 30 day shred a few years ago and had good results, but I've tried to start it several times since and quit as I get bored. It's my first time starting insanity and I REALLY want to stick to the 60 days! I…
  • I trained for a full marathon (from scratch) in about 9 months, so I think 6 months for a half marathon considering you can already run over 2 miles is absolutely fine! There's some great training plans online and also some good apps now!
  • Ooooh I can play!!! I spent years thinking I was 5'5" and recently ACTUALLY measured my height and I'm 5ft 6 and a little bit!! Very happy! Anyway SW 178lbs CW 143lbs GW 120-125lbs I think it varies hugely from person to person. At my current weight I am a UK size 12-14 and am carrying a lot of body fat. My goal is a UK…
  • This. I weigh every day. I'm more accountable to myself if I do. I found once a week it was too easy for me to slip into old habits. However I do not get upset with the numbers. I use them and move on and take the relevant action. EG. I've been out for a big meal, and the next day i'm 9st 12 where I've actually been steady…
  • Hi All, Another 5' 5" person here... Highest weight ever is 178 - AWFUL, don't do it lol Goal currently is 126 lbs, currently fluctuating between 136-138. I'm much much happier at 136 than 148 which i was for a long time in a plateau, those 10 pounds have made a massive difference so I'm hoping the next 10lbs will make…
  • Ahhh it's so good to know I'm not the only one!!! I'm getting really fustrated now at being stuck at 138lbs. I just want to get going again and see some weight coming off and actually get near to my goal!!
  • What a miserable and horrible thing to say to someone who has just started their weight loss journey and is celebrating some initial success. OP - ignore people like the above, they do not understand all the reasons for losing weight. 1,200 is not for everyone, but it worked for me to get me started, I lost about 10lbs on…
  • This. My sugar is always way over, but generally it's from fruit so I don't stress it. If i'm eating 2 pieces of fruit a day instead of a chocolate bar, i might be over sugar but my cals are down and fruit has a lot more benefits than chocolate so I don't stress it! It ultimately comes down to calories, but I guess the…
