Swimming or a stationary bike (maybe a recumbant one) shouldn't be too stressful on your ankle.

I track exercise based upon the calories my heartrate monitor says I've burned. It does take age, weight, height all into consideration. That's the best way I know to get an accurate count.

Do you belong to a gym? Try the different classes; Zumba is a lot of fun, I enjoy the Spin classes too. If no gym, do you have a bike? We use to reverse the amount of cream and milk for most recipes because I found the amount of cream to be too rich. The banana "ice cream" is good, you can add a tsp. of cocoa powder too, it's like the chocolate dipped bananas!
