I am sorry that you have to take steroids and they do make it hard. However you do have to eat the food to gain the weight. I take prednisone. Some times 1000 MG IV with in 15 min. They make you crazy hungry. I had to learn ways not to give into the desire to eat everything in site. But in order to gain weight I still had…

I do not go to the gym. I have some free weights. I do some yoga with my kids and a pair of sneakers and walking or jogging is always free and can be done at the spur of the moment any and every day :D
-
I got some good insoles from fitness store. They were recommended to me by an orthopedist. They come in various arch supports and fit well in my socony (sp) running shoes.

I really just think I was a masochist :D

Starvation mode does not exist. Unless you are talking about when I wait to long to eat and I am starving and I want to eat everything in site
-
If this were the case my days of being a runner would have ruined me. I was not only running every day but on the crew team and lifting. (no kids back then) :) but I burned a hell of a lot of calories in a day. Now I eat normally and just walk.

That is not humanly possible

Very Nice work! You must feel great :D

Who knows in another 10 years wonder-bread and Margarine will be back in style. I still wont eat it Butter tastes better :D
-
I feel a dinner party coming on! I will bring the CHEESE :D
-
I eat cheese every day Full fat cheese. I am 5'5.5 and weigh 126 lbs If I want more cheese I just have to walk more and do more yoga :D
-
Valid info is common sense. Calories in calories out. A runner will burn a lot more calories than an average person. The longest I have run is 13 miles but I ate what ever the hell I wanted to.

Can I just say I love Carbs! and I Love CHEESE all food is a vehicle for cheese and cheese is great on a nice crusty artisan bread!

Its all a load of bull****. The USA is in an anti carb mindset at this moment. When i was younger it was all about Susan powder and stop the insanity witch was eat as many carbs as you want just avoid all fats. I have seen many things come and go in the diet world but in the end the only thing that matters is calories in…

Some day people will catch on to this :D I am tired of people thinking I am to skinny and have a lucky metabolism when I spent most of my life morbidly obese. I just say if you ate what I ate you would weigh what I weigh. Some how they still think I am lucky.

wonder bread :glasses:

My macros want me to aim for 196 in carbs to maintain my weight which is 784 in cals a day (I actually ignore it) but 200g is not low at all
-
Fad diets work fine as long as you reevaluate your lifestyle to a calories in calories out system. I lost 180 lbs on a medically supervised liquid diet (no carbs) and gained it all back plus. It took 5 or so years of slow painful gaining. The diet I used to get to where I am today started at no carb for the fast losses but…
-
Are you sure you haven't already lost it?
-
Low carb diets do work but to maintain your weight loss you need to follow calories in and calories out. After a few days of eating NO carbs you start to experience the side effect of less hunger. It works but is not sustainable long term.
-
Carbs (any kind) have 4 cals per gram just like protein

My post earlier was concern your profile says you have 3 more lbs to loose. Your accomplishment is impressive and I wish you all the success in the world maintaining your new lifestyle. at 5'7" your BMI is 18.8 BMI Categories: Underweight = <18.5 Normal weight = 18.5–24.9 Overweight = 25–29.9 Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater…

No pics and a goal weight that puts the OP in the underweight category makes me wonder about this post.
-
Congratulations and please be careful. That is a really quick weight loss and you are quite thin (it usually takes so much longer to loose those last few lbs) I saw you have 3 more lbs to go and currently you are at a BMI of 18.8 with 18.5 being underweight. Keep up the good work but please do not spoil your success with…

Yes body image issues do not discriminate against any size. It is an equal opportunity issue

I actually feel sorry for people who think like the OP. Complete lack of self accountability, Narrow mindedness, Making excuses, Perpetuating stereotypes ect.... My path to a better life started with my desire to change (I am sure most other peoples did too) I know if I started with bitterness and excuses I would have been…

Fat People do not need an ambassador. I know its frustrating, People can be judgmental, and Fat discrimination is one of the only acceptable discrimination left. The simple truth is that it is up to the individual to make changes in their lives to become more healthy and it is possible under most circumstances. NO excuses.…
