I can relate. I too am a single mom of 2. One in college and the other just entering high school. It's tough that's for sure. You are an inspiration in that you are determined to stick to your healthy lifesytle despite finanical obstacles. Good luck to you and I hope your finanical situation improves soon!

Hi Ladies! I'm 45, 5'4" and 177lbs. I want to lose approx 30 with a goal weight of 145. This is not my first go 'round. I shed close to 40lbs a couple of years ago with MFP. I fell. I fell hard. Regained most of it back. I never left MFP but I never regained my determination and focus. I'm ready now. Feel free to add me!

Count me in. I've fallen so far off the wagon that I could kick myself.

I don't know about anyone else, but I smell sarcasm! LOL. Great job OP and good luck maintaining your impressive weight loss!

I'm just starting out after a 6 month hiatus. I'm getting warmed up. All runs done on treadmill. I'm not tough enough to run in Michigan's brutal winter temperatures. Jan 13th - 2 miles Jan 15th - 3.2 miles My ticker isn't cooperating :( . It should read 5.2 miles done; 19.8 to go.

Hi I'm Stephanie. I joined the group today. I have been running for about 2 years. I still consider myself a new runner mainly because I haven't been consistent with my program. I'd like to change that and I think this group will help me do that. I ran my first and only 5K this past June. I was proud to finish in 37:47. My…

OP, I can relate. I haven't been to the gym since August and have gained about 20 lbs. I stopped logging my food and quickly found myself picking up bad habits that I thought I had conquered. As of today, I'm back to logging my food and exercising. I can barely fit into my clothes and I refuse to buy bigger clothes. Good…

Starting challenge weight : 160.4 Week 1 : 161.6 Week 2 : 159.6 Scale moved in the right direction this week. Yay! Total challenge loss is 2 pounds. I've lost 7 pounds this month after a summer splurge, so I'm very happy.

I have to confess that I started to skip this weeks weigh in because I'm not happy with my results. But nope, I'm going to stick to this no matter what. I gained 1.2 lbs. Crazy sodium intake last night. No worries. Next week's weigh in will be better. Good job everyone. Week 0 : 160.4 Week 2 : 161.6

Week 0: 160.4. I gained 10+ lbs since June as well.

You are amazing! What an inspiration you are. Good luck as a Zumba instructor!!

I'm confused. This site says I have an hourglass shape. Every other site I've checked says I have a banana or straight body shape. I think I'll claim the hourglass shape. It sounds so feminine

Hey There! I am 5'4" and currently weigh 178 pounds. I've been doing Zumba since mid June. I use a Polar FT4. As a side note, I got mine for $80 at Sears and took advantage of their layaway program since I am financially challenged :frown: . Anyway, my class is very intense as I always drenched with sweat when I leave. We…

I totally agree Samantha! I just made this last night as a side dish. I added a little bit of onion to mine along with the garlic and it was terrific.

Oh, I meant to add that it came with 4 replaceable AA batteries!

I bought a Health O Meter over the weekend. So far so good. The only disappointment I have is that it weighed my 5lbs heavier (which is probably accurate) than the scale I had been using :noway: The Health O Meter is pretty cool because it calulates BMI, Body Hydration, Body Fat and Bone Density. It allows up to 4 users to…
