  • I'm a married mom of 5 beautiful girls. They are 24, 20, 11, 10, and 9. I sarted at 250 pounds and I've lost 94 pounds as of today. I'm aiming for 140-145, I'm 5"6" and 46 years old. Add me if you like. Best of luck to you on your journey.
  • I drink water with MIO all day everyday. I make sure I use the ones with 0 everything as well. Some have sodium, you just have to check them out.. My doctor said that whatever I'm doing keep it up. She and I have talked about the MIO seveal times and she said she cant find anythng "bad" about it.
  • To be honest here, I don't think it matters what you say, how you say it, or how concerned you are for her. She DOES know she is gaining weight, getting heavy/heavier. Until SHE is READY to make a change for herself, it isn't going to happen. If you tell her tomorrow she has gained weight, she could go on a crash diet to…
  • I'm a smartarse. I have a warped sense of humor as well. I told them that "I''m having issues getting rid of that old dead body smell from my last boyfriend, and until I could get that smell out of the carpet, I couldn't possible consider another boyfriend, when I could still smell the remains of the last one. I thien…
  • I am NOT on a diet. When people I havent seen in a while see me, they ask, "what diet are you on, or how did you do it?" I ALWAYS tell them I'm not on a diet. I have changed my entire lifestyle. I don't ever make any foods "off limits". If I want candy, I'll eat a small pc of candy, the same goes for every other food there…
  • Start fresh. Forget about the past. What has happened can not be changed. We can just move forward with the lessons we've learned, and go from there. You know what it take to shed the pounds. In my opinion, it comes down to what you are willing to do to shed the pounds. You don't need to do sceduled workouts everyday.…
  • I got a "pubic" area tat when I was 17. It was a cat with green eyes. During the course of dumping the b/f that "encouraged" that particular adventure in my life, I married and had my first child. During the course of my time in the hospital in labor, we lost count on the number of "medical professionals" that came out of…
  • I personally think anything can be drunk or eaten as long as it's in moderation. If it's something you crave, drink a glass or two, just not the entire container. As someone else mentioned, try the silk or soy chocolate milks. I personally don't drink milk. I do use almond breeze with 40 calories per 8 oz, or silk almond…
  • For me, I don't restrict anything. If I crave something, I'll eat it. For me the "no, you cant have or eat that diet" doesn't work. Work it into your calories. I eat ice cream every night. Its the last thing I eat for the day. It's the only vice I have left, and I have no plans to ever stop eating ice cream. Best of luck…
  • I have 5 beautiful daughters! They are 23 and married, 20 in college, 10, 9, and 8. I am done having babies. Have taken measure to ensure there will be no more and happy about it. I spent three straight summers pregnant and hot. Pregnancy is wonderful, but the heat was awful. We have three dogs a female husky and…

  • I don't drink crystal light, but I do add MIO to my water. MIO has ZERO nutritional value, but it is what makes it easy for me to drink my water. Water with MIO is all I drink. No coffee, tea, soda, or anything except MIO in my water. I average probably 14 - 16 glasses a day.
  • I am not a huge water fan, but I do drink it. I drink even more of it now using MiO liquid water enhancer. It contains no calories, no fat, no sodium, no sugars, and no protien. You can use a little or a lot depending on how you want it to taste. I drink 12 - 20 glasses of water everyday.
  • I was just talking to my husband about losing 20 pounds between now and Christmas. That would put my total weight loss to 85 pounds. The very thought of that really excites me!! Lets do it!!
  • I am so there with you on the moderation and people not getting their panties knotted over a day that to them isn't enough food or too much food. Slow and steady is the best way to go. Best of luck to you. Add me if you like.
  • When I first started this lifestyle change, I had 105 pounds to shed. I have shed 65 pounds to date. It seems weird to me to say I only have 40 pounds left to shed then maintain forever. In college a lot of people (females) gain their "freshmen 10" quickly then level out. Dont think of this as a diet, or that you can't…
  • The 35 calorie wedge of laughing cow swiss cheese with 2 slices of sara lee 45 calorie wheat bread makes a killer grilled/toasted cheese sandwich. If you make the grilled cheese version, you can use non-stick canola cooking spray or a light oleo spread and it would probably be less than 150 calories. Add some grapes or…
  • I am a mom of 5 girls. They range in age from 22 to 7. The younger ones are 10, 9 and 7 (she'll be 8 in November). My 7 yr old is in constant motion. She never walks, she hops, skips, runs, slides or flips pretty much where ever she is going. She is tall and very skinny. My 9 yr old likes being outside playing basketball,…
  • The weight wasn't gained over night and it certainly isn't going to leave over night. Slow and steady is the best pace. Stop looking to shed 5 pounds, each pound lost is a victory and closer to your goal. One pound a week is a reasonable "goal" if you will. I have become MUCH more aware of the food I put in my body. I read…
  • I have a friend who had the lap band procedure done a yr and half ago. She weighed about 295 then and weighs 245 now. She feels she has lost all she can. I don't know, but 50 pounds in a yr and a half seems like very little lost, but that is just my opinion. She didnt and still doesn't like to exercise so she isn't going…
  • You can do it. I'm a mom of 5. My oldest is 22 and married my youngest is 7. The ages in between are 19, 9 and 8. I know it can be very hard to break old habits of doing for others and putting yourself on the back burner. You get to a point when you have to think about if you don't stop and take care of yourself, all of…
  • I weigh in every week. Usually the same day of the week and it's usually in the late evening. No stripping, just shoes off and on the scale.
  • Nice to meet you as well!! It's a geat site, lots of helpful people and diet tools. Best of luck on your healthy living journey :)
  • The Body Fortress advanced comes in chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and cookies n cream. You can mix it in milk~water~whatever happens to be your beverage of choice.
  • It is so easy to sit back on the other side of the PC screen and type...if that happened to me, I would do this, this, this and that. No questions asked. It's not ture. If you have never been in that type of situation, you truly have NO clue how you would react or what you would or wouldn't do. Diet and lose the weight for…
  • I've not really been here long, but in the time that I have been here, I had several people comment in private message/email that I'm not eating enough, I shouldn't eat ice cream, I need to eat more eggs, drink milk. I personally don't eat eggs or drink milk. I really just blew it off people needing to blow off steam or…
  • I have been on both ends of the spectrum. I've been heavy...thin...heavy..not so thin. I was going through a difficult and stressful separation trying to get a divorce in late 1999 and early 2000. I went to my dr for a checkup and I had lost 65 pounds in less than 4 months. He ran all sorts of tests thinking I had some…
