Have you asked anyone with beachbody or p90X. Aren't there diets to stick to when on that program? Maybe they could help too.

after p90x and insanity, you might want to consider training for a half marathon...ha ha GOOD LUCK! the c25k is online, just google it

I log most of my acitivity becuase when I set my account up i checked that I sit most of the day. However if you were to check that you were active most of the day you may only log your workouts. Everyone is different.

grilled chicken breast, protein shake, protein bar (look for low sugar), egg whites, fish

I think it all depends on the type of workout you are planning to do. If you are just lifting weights, probably not a necessity. However going on a run I think you should wear one. I have 36DD and I prefer a champion high support, or any of the Nike ones that also double as a tank top. I did buy a CW-X one, it is super…

along the ideas of the lime/lemon they make a product that is lime, lemon or orange in powder form that would be good, not make the popcorn soggy

thanks for all the suggestions. However my rhubarb crop has dried up for the season, I am used to it fresh, but now I may try it frozen. I too second it raw with a little salt, gets my mouth watering just thinking about it. Back to the sweeteners, I even gave truvia a chance, to me it still tastes like crap. Guess I will…

I eat them! Most diets are based on a 2000 calorie intake, becuase I believe the body burns somewhere around that many calories a day without exercise. (The reason I am in trouble is I ate way more than that in a day, portion control!) When you start MFP it already calculates how many calories you should eat in a day to…

Try adding some strength training. Lunges, push ups, tricep dips, squats, etc. Building lean muscle helps burn fat, or something like that. There are plenty of strength training exercises you can do at your home.

I think this has been discussed a million times on here. There is a lot of information out there. This is how I look at it. I am set at 1200 calories a day, so If I burn 600, that leaves me with 600 calories for the day. That is not a healthy amount. So I would eat the 600 back so my total stays at 1200. I stay close to…

I also found when you are in a calf stretch to bend your knee a bit, and you get an added pull of the muscle that runs down the inside of the front of the leg.

Welcome to the world of p90x! I will be starting the 3rd phase of the lean program on Monday. I find that the more I do a workout the more of the workout I can do. It took a while for me to actually hold the chatarunga pose, but now it is super easy. I am with you though, I am not sure I will ever be able to do the crain,…

I was doing a search on spark recipes and it seems that most are made "healthier" or less calories using splenda. My problem is I can't stand that crap, sorry....that is just how I feel.

I dread doing yogaX everytime, in fact it is my workout today. Once it starts I am counting down the time to the 43 minute mark when "Last Vinyasa" comes across the screen. I do like, core, cardio and kenpo. I think I just like cardio style workouts the best. I am doing the lean version, so there is no plyo, but I am sure…

Wow that is so great! I love running, I am slow, but I don't care. It is great to be doing a workout that you feel good doing. A good program is the couch to 5k, it is discussed a lot on the message boards. Also noted as "c25k" It was how I started back at running at around 200 pounds, and I could do it! I Shin splints…

Back to the topic at hand... I drink a shake after a great workout, so I use chocolate milk.... 1 cup skim choc milk 1 scoop pure protein vanilla whey 1 T peanut butter ICE. Blend...viola, delicious! this tastes like a choc milk shake, and depending on where I am for calories in the day I might add more peanut butter, or…

I am no expert with this program, but I am not sure you would get the benefit of the entire workout. It seems that all the exercises or moves flow into the next one. I think there are some beach body coaches on this site, so hope they can help. I am starting my second week tonight. I was soooo sore last week.

I wear a heart rate monitor, so I have a slight idea about my calorie burn. Otherwise maybe try doing a search for similar exercises or for average calorie burn for the same workouts. It is difficult though, if you don't know what you burned, it is hard to know what to eat.

if your shoes don't fit your feet properly, and work with your gait and pronation, it wont matter how old they are. As mentioned many times a good shoe fitting is a good place to start. Who knows though, maybe you are wearing the correct shoes, but are doing too much at once. and yes Go Hawks!!

I have also heard skim chocolate milk is a good alternative. I would love to hear someone's opinion on this, someone who knows about the correct amounts of protein and carbs after a workout.

I agree with all the other posters...shin splints and bad shoes. I have been suffering with shin splint and leg muscle pain forever. It all started by running and pushing too hard, too much. If this problem persists it can lead to stress fractures. My problem led to irritation in the muscle that runs along the leg and…

I have been checking out the P90x videos and in the ones where you need to lift weights he always asks if you want to lift 8-10 or 12-15. I always get confused, but one is a target for lean muscle/toning and the other is for big muscles. Depending on this you set your goal, and you should be trying really hard to lift the…

I am with Stephanie, if you have foot problems you can't go buy the flashiest looking shoe out there. Get to a running specialty store and they will fit you with a shoe that supports your arch. I encountered shin splints and stress problems in my leg muscles. Proper foot wear in a must! I am one of the lucky few who gets…

Yeah I just want to make sure that I an not undereating, becuase I am HUNGRY!!! My stomach growls a lot, but I feel like I have eaten my limit even after excercise. Heart rate monitor here I come!

I like the P90x workouts in that they really push your muscles to keep guessing and be confused. However some of the workouts are a challenge. I think I am going to actually do the 90 day program starting in march. I am just checking it out now. I guess I might have to break down and buy a heart rate monitor. Thanks!
