I definitely consume the majority of my calories between 6am and noon, but that is just personal preference and I usually run in the mornings so I need the extra then. If you are having problems meeting your calorie goal try foods like almonds, avocado's, peanut butter.....things that aren't too filling "bulk wise" but…

AHHH-MAAA-ZZZING!!!! Don't take this the wrong way, or take offence in any way, but you've got a great *kitten*! Your hard work most definitely paid off.

I know you said you saw a dr. and the thyroid was normal, but the tiredness and puffy (especially if you feel/look like your eyes are bulging), sore eyes, along with a slew of other symptoms are indications of hyperthyroid. I would read, read, read, and either revisit your dr. or find another one that will refer you on to…

I like Mrs. Dash - but the southwest chipotle and also the table blend.....have you tried more than one kind of mrs. dash? There really is no substitute for salt that tastes "like" salt. I try and reduce all the "hidden" sodium and then I can add a dash of salt to my table food (usually just my veg)

Ever had your thyroid checked?

Undereating can be a huge contributing factor to either being overweight or to hindering weight loss progress. Fatihfully log everything that passes through your lips (if you aren't already) and see where you're at. If you are still waaaay below your goal I would say you are undereating. I'm not sure how big of a guy you…

Oh I feel your pain!! When I feel the pressure I just buy my own drinks and drink diet pop aand a wedge of lime, like the op said. No one will know the difference unless you tell them.........unless you're typically a beer drinker. Then I don't know, drink light beer and dance, dance, dance :) And believe me, they will…

I read once that runner's stitch is related to not fully exhaling and to try to get rid of one while it's happening, pause your run for a short time, deep breath in and forcefully blow it ALL out. Do that a couple times and it should help ease it off.

So......I saw the endo yesterday and found out a few interesting things. One - that I have either developed a heart murmur or have always had one and has gone undetected. She can see and feel the nodules on my thyroid which is new since the last specialist looked 2 years ago, or else just one person is more in tune than…

Sorry, this is lengthy. It's good to read about this from another person's perspective rather than just medical info. I have a long family history of hypothyroid and thyroid cancer. I was diagnosed with cold nodules on my thyroid about 3 years ago. For a period of time (about May of 2010 untl Sept at which time I quit…

Aveeno makes a product called Aveeno soothing bath treatment. It's a natural oatmeal milk type bath. It helps my son's ecxema. I have to bath him less freqently and I also use the aquaphor cream - works really well.
