From a guys point of view, here's the main reason women should lift weights... If you are losing weight, and the weight u want to lose is fat, if you don't build back any muscle you will be nothing but bones and flab... ew!

you burn calories doing anything, even sleeping. you actually burn almost 100cal/hr while you sleep. don't get the wrong idea though. this doesnt mean you should eat an extra 100 calories per hour you sleep, nor should you significantly increase your calorie intake cause your standing on your feet more. an apple or banana…

They are called SUPPLEMENTS for a reason. They will help, but aren't necessary. Sure it will help if you take the right type of protein to assist with your goals, but even after using protein for 8 years I will never be convinced that it's better for your body than eating your protein.
