Is it true that once you hit your ideal body fat % that cardio almost becomes non-existent? Or are these lies thin people say?

I was 226 lbs. Today I am 186. On my way to 150. This was my turning point...and now my journey https://prattylessfatty.wordpress.com/2014/06/20/somewhere-between-jelly-beans-and-long-runs-how-pratty-became-less-fatty-in-500-miles/

I do this too. Big time. I will eat healthy all day, run at lunch and when I get home it's like a Milk Dud party. I don't know why. What DOES help sometimes is when I can be honest with myself and visualize what eating this food is actually doing to my body (making my clothes tighter, etc) I picture how hard my run was…

I weigh in like it's my job. Some days it hurts my feelings more than others. I try to remind myself that what I am doing today won't register for a few weeks...that makes me breathe a bit easier. That dumb scale can be your worst enemy. Judge by how your clothes fit, how you feel & what you see. Keep making good food…

Cut up green peppers into long strips, cucumber halves, carrots, grapes, apple slices in different baggies on Sunday and eat them every night. They won't go bad within a week and you will always have something healthy and "munchy" on hand. Prep is the key to success. Lack of prep results in wandering eyes and hands into…

I agree with most of the above comments. One bd day does not progress break. I suggest, on top of the protein and veggies...why not squeeze in a workout? Use your body weight, go run, walk, do a video...something/anything. Just move and burn those calories!!!

I love your story. I was 226 and a yoyo, too! Then I discovered running! I love it and have lost down to 174. Training for my first half. When do I get skinny and fit like you? Lol. You look amazing.

There are three times running is enjoyable for me 1. When I am finished 2. When I am so into the run that I forget I am running 3. When I wake up the next morning and feel my body tighter, firmer and lighter Regarding shoes...go to your local running shoe store and they will put you on a treadmill, rate your stride, see if…

With the yo-yoing I can tell you I started at 226 in August of last year. I hit 199 around January. I got down to 177 in March and then regained back to 196 at the end of May. Starting June 10 (when I started running) I was 194-191 and today, august 23, I am 175. It's a journey. It has ups and downs. Instead of just…

I do "dancing, aerobic, modern, twist" option. I work at a gym that has Zumba classes daily and we have literature that says in a 1 hour Zumba class you can burn 700-900 calories.
