I am 47 and I met one of my very best friends at the ripe old age of 3. Yes - in preschool!! That means we have been friends for 44 years. I always joke with her that someday when we're 103 years old (and probably too senile to remember!) we can say we've been friends for an entire century. LOL

Bananas Avocado Grapefruit (ewwww!) And I cannot stand the smell or taste of beer!

Thank you for sharing! You look awesome! : )

I had a cardiac work-up in the late 1990's due to chest pain (I was in my mid 30's at that time). My EKG had shown some significant changes so they had me do a cardiac stress test and a cardiolite test. I was told to wait until the doctor was able to review the results of the testing before leaving the hospital. Well,…

A friend of our family told me that eating bread crusts made your hair curly. LOL  Crazy, huh?

Love Trader Joe's! I just wish I didn't have to drive an hour to get to the closest one - but hey, I will in a pinch. Their prices are great and the store I go to is really well organized and the staff is sooo friendly.

Thanks for the advice. I do lift weights as well for strength training . . but I've discovered the rowing machine recently and I just totally enjoy it! Tonight, my heart rate was anywhere between 135 and 145 during the entire time I was rowing so I was working it pretty intense.

Peanut butter, Nutella, Sunsweet plum amazins! : )

I'm around 5 foot 9 inches . . started out at 248 pounds and lost 70 pounds in about 10 months. I have since put back on approx 20 pounds since Xmas but still working away to get to my goal weight. Add me if you'd like?

It's already been said many times over . . but definitely swimming. I am a swimmer who goes to the pool 3 times per week and it's actually a rehab pool (part of a physical therapy center) and people from all walks of life swim, exercise, etc. there. There are folks in wheelchairs, people who walk with walkers, everything.…

Silk almond milk is my fave! : ) I will say though, I was surprised that it has a LOT less protein than regular/skim milk. I usually just buy almond milk as the occasional "treat" and use skim milk for my every day usage . . with cereal, etc.

Floating on my back in the swimming pool . . head back, just relaxed . . ahhhh. I've always been a swimmer, I especially enjoy when I am the last one in the pool at the gym and just the peace and quiet after a strenuous workout.

Almonds, hard boiled eggs, milk, yogurt, peanut butter, I personally like the Special K protein shakes (strawberry especially).

I'm a binger too. Mostly a "closet" binger . . like in my bedroom, late at night, etc. I've learned I just need to keep whatever I'm craving out of sight/reach and try to identify the real emotion that is disguising itself as hunger. Like sometimes I eat out of boredom, tiredness, stress, etc. etc. So, if I'm tired . . the…

See's candies . . dear god, my favorite!

I resisted the urge to stop at Walgreens or CVS on my way home from work and the gym tonight to stock up on discounted Valentine's candy. That may seem like a very small accomplishment for some, but for me, that's HUGE. I am all about sales . . AND candy. And I had a hard day at work on top of it all. But you know what,…

Me!! *raising hand in shame* Oh well, tomorrow is a new day!

Yes!! I honestly didn't want to believe it when the doctor said exercise helps anxiety and depression, but the truth is, it really does! And I wouldn't have believed this even 1 year ago, but exercise actually helps increase energy and motiviation. : )

YES to thrift shops! Not only do I score next to new clothing at times but also name brands. In fact, I was just at the Salvation Army thrift/family store this morning after my workout and they were having a clothing sale . . all clothing 99 cents!! AND I also managed to score myself a brand new Polar HRM with strap (in…

Thanks for the post. Believe it or not, I used to work for a bank (and a large one at that) about 15 years ago. I was a rep at a branch location and if someone came in who had never overdrawn or didn't make a habit of overdrawing their account, it was at our discretion to refund any/all fees. How times have changed, huh?!…

Thanks, everyone. Like I say, I fully admit to being at fault. I think the fact that we stayed in several different hotels along our trip and used the card multiple times a day for 5 days or so to eat out, shop, purchase gas, etc. I think I just lost track - which is not a good thing and not consistent with my normal…

Sorry . . I don't have pics to share . . but two years ago, I got a tattoo of a dove with the word "peace" inscribed underneath. The dove is beautiful, shaded in a light silvery blue. The artist was fantastic. : ) It's very small and it was my first tattoo . . but I think I would like to do another now.
