  • did my 10+ min on the stairs yesterday, plus my 5 miles walking, plus my planned workouts...food was great until I dove into the ice cream like a lunatic...ended the day with tons of veggies so I was only a little bit above my goal
  • YES!!!! I actually already have July's workout plan and no idea what kind of schedule I'll be looking at for August and September, but I'm sure I'll still be trying to lose a bit of fluff, so I'm totally up for a challenge group!!! Can we do both? We can do an exercise challenge (either group or individual goals) as well…
  • Welcome!!! I'm currently near Richmond, VA but have a vacation house (moving to full time residence next year) on Chincoteague Island, which is only a few miles from the MD border along the eastern shore...so, we're practically neighbors!!! We just have 2 cats now, in the past we have done the farm thing because I'm in a…
  • yesterday was good until I dove into the ice cream like a maniac...<sigh>...made tons of veggies for dinner...that part was good at least...and no alcohol, it's time to scale that back too... heading to the beach to install the dehumidifier once the sensors arrive, hopefully tomorrow...need to come back friday night…
  • I started the month at 157.6...would like to end the month below 155...it will be work, but it IS possible!!!
  • Friday-Sunday was beach work and maintenance eating...indulged in some ice cream which was so yum...also had some whiskey and lots of good seafood...back on the loss train today despite plans for dinner out...had a reasonable breakfast and lunch, plus already have dinner planned...it's better not to look at the menu when…
  • I miss hugging people when I greet them...never really noticed how much of a hugger I am until it wasn't a thing anymore.
  • went to RDB last night to meet up with friends...their scheduled food truck was a no show so I had to improvise dinner from an unplanned place...did I want the giant bowl of mac & cheese...of course...did I order it, NO, I was good and got the steamed cabbage since I KNEW the jamaican beef patty would already be plenty of…
  • I need goals...been kinda aimless...I already have a strength/cardio/stretch workout schedule...going to add in 10 min of stairs in the morning...and 5 miles of walking...that should help keep me on track this month...I had great results last month, but then kind of lost steam the last week and that has carried over into…
  • tuesday was good on food, but only 1 workout...wednesday was too much food and also only 1 workout...though we did go shoe shopping, so new tennis shoes which is awesome!!! super need to get back on the motivation train...I find the strength workout good, but this new routine has less of them and more cardio type stuff…
  • weekend was long and maintenance plus not much activity...seriously need to jump on the "do all the things" and "eat just the nutrition" wagon
  • heading to the beach house tonight after work...my last chance to form good habits and start working out every day I am there...this is the goal, even if it's only stretching, working out is a must...and I have videos on the laptop I can do, so that would be a bonus!!! measurements and weigh in today were good, slow but…
  • measurements today...forgot about that or I would have skipped the wine last night...but I was in a mood for a wine wednesday and it was good!!!
  • tuesday was good...despite mikey getting COOKIES at costco, still stuck to goal...only the one workout because of the shopping necessities, but I did get in all 5 laps of the road, so that makes me happy and it's been good weather, so super nice to get out and about
  • did good monday...double workouts (glutes and cardio) plus quality nutrition this is a recovery week so the workouts are not as intense as usual...which I guess is good, I don't have to feel so bad if I don't workout over the coming holiday weekend... Also wrote a P90X hybrid with P90X3 for Aug-Oct workout plan...and made…
  • wow...so Fri-Sun were pretty much maintenance - probably, I didn't track...but the rest of the week was good on poverty days, so that's something...slack about working out this weekend too...need to really get on top of that this week is a recovery week, so the workouts are kind of sparse anyway
  • I typically IF more by accident than design...most mornings I'm just not hungry until 10-11ish...sometimes don't eat until 1-2, but I'm absolutely terrible at NOT eating when hungry, so it all kind of depends on the day. I do like having extra calories for lunch/dinner on the days where breakfast gets skipped, but I don't…
  • I use half and half, but very little, which is probably not any less calories that the powder creamer...what is it you want to eliminate in the powdered creamer, the sugar? Maybe something like honey or stevia might work for you? But really, I don't think the amount of sweetener in coffee creamer is likely to have that big…
  • I had migraines near daily for several years before going keto to complete eliminate them...the weird food things with migraines are a very very real thing...I think it's pretty normal to want some kind of comfort when you are in a lot of pain, and also pretty normal for that comfort to be carby...if it were me, I would…
  • Avoiding anything labeled gluten free is usually cheaper than being in the gluten free section of the grocery...rice noodles and soba noodles are typically in the asian section and made without wheat...beyond that, all the same great ideas here, dried food like rice and beans are cheaper than prepared ones in cans or foil…
  • The war with the scale is real...I do measurements as well as scale tracking...the measurements are at least something when the scale is being wonky!!!
  • Tuesday when I was under maintenance but over poverty...that really should have been a maintenance day and I'm counting it as such...currently it's Friday and I have 4 poverty days already built in, so either today or tomorrow will be maintenance...which still means I need to be diligent on both because we are moving the…
  • That makes sense. The closer to goal the more every tiny little tweak matters. Eating healthy and losing weight when you have 50 lbs to lose is a way different process than if you only have 5 lbs to lose, at least for me, the closer I get to goal the more diligent I have to be about tracking because even a hundred or two…
  • yesterday was over poverty but under maintenance, snack before costco was a good idea because zero impulse purchases were acquired, plus coffee after was plain and no snacks...so overall win
  • @Ringbearer2 - yes, allergic reactions are always going to include inflammation and that will always include an incredible amount of water retention...give it a couple days for your body to get back to normal and those excess lbs will drop back off.
  • I always set my own custom calorie goals based on what I have found to be my "maintenance" or "loss" amounts, so it's not a factor for me because I'm not using their calculations.
  • poverty day yesterday and a double workout day so proud of myself
  • Ate maintenance over the weekend and did manage to do some stretching one day...so, that's not as good as doing it every day over the weekend, but it's progress over zero days.
  • weekend was good, did some stretching at the beach house which is progress in the doing ANY formal workouts at the beach house...also some insulation work and fixed a couple floor joists, and did a lot of gardening...so fun times and an active weekend even if it's maintenance eating...need need need to get on top of…
  • I've been offline more than usual this month, so haven't really planned much...well, I always plan my workouts, and I had lots of social things the first week, and then lots of ugh moments the second week...overall, it's been great...normally when I'm not MFP regular, I end up not logging or tracking, and this time my…
