Most days I think my favorite for recreational drinking is Dead Rabbit, a nice tasty Irish whiskey...so yum...I do have a new protein shake I sampled that I ordered and am waiting on for arrival, which may become my new favorite post-workout drink it if works well (seemed good in the sample but one day is not really a…

Lucy's waterfall today...so much UGH...but yesterday I did manage poverty calories and that's something...today is half a day of work then a weekend of beach house projects, so that should be awesome and keep me plenty busy as well as plenty active

wow, I'm super slack around here first week of may was great, 2 days maintenance and 5 days poverty... second week of may was mostly just maintenance...the pms hunger is real...and the cravings are real...but on the plus side I have been able to reign it in at maintenance so at least I haven't had any over days...the work…

April ended down a pound 158.8 and down two whole inches in the belly...1.25 in the belly button and 0.75 in the low belly...super excited and looking for more positive progress in May!!!
-
April ended well, only down a pound but two whole inches off the belly is a super big win for me!!!

May Mindfulness...wait, we did that in March, right??? Spring into a new you??? Maybe pick one habit you want to change (fitness related or not)??? May is kind of heading into summer so like a "beach body" challenge??? Butts or Guts??? maybe not everyone wants to work on one of those... I'm up for mostly anything, and I…

Wed - maintenance was good and easy, even had a shot of whiskey to celebrate hump day!!! the 2nd moderna shot has thrown me into pms just like the first one did - so the answer is, no it's not just that I'm peri-menopausal and irregular, PMS has started about 5 days after each shot and so by the time this starts next week…

I know I haven't posted much, but I've been good and sticking to the food and exercise and getting gardening in when it isn't raining...looking forward to weight and measurements on Friday, so keep on keeping on everyone!!!
-
Tuesday poverty was a success - technically I was 4 calories over, but that's not anything to fret about, Wednesday maintenance was a success...exercise and gardening was done both days...I can't wait to do stats on Friday morning and see how my progress is coming along!!!
-
Monday was good on the food arena, and did chest/tris and some walking...not as much activity as usual, but my energy level isn't where it was pre-vaccine either, so just taking it a bit slow and getting some relax time in as needed.
-
been good on the food and the workouts did Friday as a maintenance day and stuck to poverty cals over the weekend, which was easy because that 2nd moderna shot sent me into a fever and headache land that included zero appetite and zero energy today was back to better, but still kinda fatigued...no fever or headache though…

Yesterday was good, stuck to my poverty goals even though we had haircuts and that meant eating out...it takes some planning, but I have such a great feeling of satisfaction when I have conquered temptation and defeated those urges and I emerge victorious with a calorie count that is within my goal...you'd think I had done…

this week was solid, 5 poverty days, 2 maintenance days, almost all the workouts except some cardio/glutes after lucifers waterfall hit and I just had zero energy...been getting in walking or steps depending on the weather outdoors, and getting some gardening done...all in all I could use more weeks like this...

4/16 new LW - way too soon week was good...5 poverty days which turned out to be pretty easy since LW hit with zero appetite this month and made some of those poverty days a breeze instead of a challenge...it's always nice when it's a bit easier... workouts were all done except the weekend...no energy sat or sun plus…

Plan ahead. That's probably the number one thing for me. I don't work night shift except for special occasions but when I do I know my appetite is going to be through the roof from the lack of sleep and I'm going to need to have easy, ready to eat food that meets my nutrition goals or I'm going to eat way too much or reach…

Not specifically carb cycling, but I typically do best with calorie cycling which tends to cause carb cycling just because I'm eating more on some days and thus more carbs. I usually do well with 4 low cal days and 3 high cal days - high cal days are maintenance, low cal days are about 400 cals below maintenance, but…

There's no reason all your days can't be mixed days. Personally, I prefer at least 3 days of strength training per week, and I prioritize my strength work over my cardio, so I typically do strength first, and then follow with 30-60 min of cardio (depending on the day and how much time I have available) In terms of other…

4/2 LW - just logging here to keep track of it...been in perpetual PMS since about 4/9 so if this doesn't calm down after the next LW, then I'll have to go see gyn as this is *kitten* and I have no desire to put up with it finally popped on the scale today, down 3 lbs...which is AMAZING...didn't do measurements, maybe I'll…

"You don't need to lose weight you look fine" I'm 5'9 and 162 lbs, so maybe I look fine, but I'm only a few pounds away from overweight, and I'd really really like to be more in the fit range...working on it...plus middle age has made the "gains" show up in belly pudge, and it's not a good look and there's plenty of…

they really don't get old if you add seasonings...try looking for ethnic dishes and try some different seasonings in your veggies...curries from india, paprikas from hungary, a bunch of odd spanish seasonings that I can't pronounce...the addition of herbs can vary dishes immensely and no dairy is required...also, you can…

so this past week was mostly maintenance...only 2 poverty days instead of the planned 4...pms symptoms are crazy and it's too early so I'm super tired of it...but, next week will be better!!!
-
yesterday was supposed to be back and glutes...well, after resurfacing a second story deck from 8am to 7pm, I can assure you I had plenty of back and glute work hauling 2x10x12 lumber up the stairs...as well as all the cutting and demolition and all that... so no formal workouts, and ate at maintenance as planned...this is…
-
april has been good so far...doing the stairs almost all the days, and doing the walking every day...we are about to hit 3 days of rain so that will be a challenge, but hopefully one I can live up to and do indoor walking/stairs even when the weather is bad
-
well, I did my workouts, I kept my food on target, I did a bunch of gardening... was supposed to build a deck at a friends on Saturday and was holding that as a maintenance day after doing Monday as a maintenance day...but now it's going to rain all weekend and I'm going to take off Thursday to build the deck...so…

so...plan for April... Finish up Beast cut the poverty days down another 200 calories stick to all 4 poverty days honestly, I've BEEN doing the workouts, and tracking the food and sticking to the required number of poverty days, and I'm seeing just tiny tiny improvements...so cutting out another 800 cals a week, that…

4/2 - stairs and walking, plus some extra walking when I had to pick up college boy after his run, so it was a great day...did my planned workouts plus kept to calorie goals...great way to get it going!!!
-
yesterday was good for a LW day...got some walking done, and even some extra walking, and some stairs, and the planned workouts...and all that fun stuff...so that's kind of cool...even managed to fit in a cupcake and a cup of hot cocoa and colored eggs and all that fun stuff...it was cool and I reviewed my Jan-Mar calories…

I think I'm going to switch up my goals...I do fine on getting my regular workouts, but I'm slipping on my morning/afternoon walks during the week...which is no only cutting me short on my activity, but making my stressed way too much at work...I need those for my sanity...so my #1 goal is to get at least 10 min of stairs…
