Choir dork. I wasn't picked on or tortured, I was just ignored. But I grew up to be spectacular AND I still have a glorious singing voice.

The only thing I can suggest is trying to find SOMEthing else to do besides eat and work out. Do you have a job or go to school? Do you have hobbies? You've got to find something else to occupy your mind or you'll drive yourself into insanity! It sounds to me like you spend your whole day obssessing about food, trying to…

My husband and I both do Crossfit. We love our box! The atmosphere is motivating and the athletes are all really skilled and strong. The people who run it watch each person individually and scale the workouts per their perspective capabilities... they seem to know exactly how much weight you need after watching your form.…

If it's a serious problem for you, go to the gardening section of your local hardware store or Walmart and get one of those small foam pads you use to kneel on while gardening. Sit on that.

Bon Iver in Little Rock, AR last summer! It started raining in the middle of the concert and everyone just stood up and started dancing around in the ran in the grassy "cheap" seats where I was sitting. Best concert ever!

I've never tried it. Maybe I shouldn't.

Height: 5'7" Starting weight: 196lbs Current Weight 150.8lbs Goal Weight: 135lbs (but only because I just realized after all these years that I have a tiny frame) Age: 30 Calorie goal: 1760 As far as what I burn, right now I'm on crutches after knee surgery, so not much. When I'm running regularly, I'm burning 600-1000…

I don't consider 1100 calories conducive to "eating all day" unless you're eating celery. Eat some real food.... nuts, fruits, lean meats. 70g of almonds and raisins together is a whopping 300 calories. It's SO EASY to eat more calories if you make the right choices. Dip your apples in almond or peanut butter. One banana…

Eat more. Your deficit is too big. Eat what you're allowed... MFP gives you a deficit already, you don't need to eat way under your calorie goal. You just need to meet it. Ignore the scale and take measurements. I personally wouldn't step on the scale again for a month or so. Give it some time. Two weeks is not enough to…

She doesn't even go here!

I'm at 150.8... just can't get down to the 140's! I'm hoping this weekend's weigh-in will be the one!

My longest run to date was 13.7 miles, outside, somewhere between 90 and 100 degree weather. My hydration pack bladder burst at mile 4, pouring all my water down the back of my legs. I finished my run without water, let alone fuel gels. I really wouldn't worry about it for a half-marathon distance. It's only a couple hours.

Pickle and mustard sandwiches, bologna, ramen noodles.

Do a light workout and then eat something really good. If I need to add calories to my day, I eat a mix of nuts and raisins (30g almonds, 20g raisins, 20g dried cranberries). It's about 300 calories and it's not heavy, so you won't feel terribly full. It's also delicious! Another idea is bananas... they're packed with…

Bananas make it difficult to stay under calories. I had a 156g banana this morning which was 143 calories. Yikes!

I'm not sure what the difference is between a US 12 and a UK 12. I JUST got into 10's this past fall so I'm a US 10, but I'm pretty sure I still look like I did when I was a 12.

In my opinion, if what you're doing is working for you (you're not super hungry, you have enough energy), and you're making healthy choices and fueling your body when you do eat, I don't see any problem with your schedule. I don't think when you eat makes much difference as long as your meals are working for you (ie,…

I would explain to him the idea of a calorie deficit and that as long as you're under calories, you're good. I would show him the math... 700-130=570 (or whatever your calories were) and explain that you have a calorie deficit for the day. Hang in there until your weight loss becomes noticeable... then he won't have…

30g of almonds, 20g of raisins, 20g of dried cranberries = 300 calories and a fantastic sweet snack.

My husband used to be anti-veggie. He would eat potatoes and corn and that was it. When he discovered that his crazy hard Crossfit schedule was not doing him any good with his heavy, fatty, calorie-loaded meals, he decided diet was the key. He started trying veggies and found out how he liked them cooked. Now he'll eat…

Louisiana wing sauce!

My personal opinion? If I were starting out in your shoes, my first overhaul would be my diet. I'd stock my fridge with healthy choices, cook clean meals, and fuel my body with protein and lots of other nutrients. Sneak nutritious stuff into everything. Eat the things you like in moderation, log what you eat, don't deny…

We rode out the tornado in Joplin, MO in 2011 in a house that was two blocks south of being completely levelled... worst day of my life. I have never been so frightened in all my life holding on to door handles to keep the doors from being sucked out the windows and taking us with them, both of my children huddled…

This is one of the little nuggetsoif info they tend to leave out during your pre-op discussions... if you even have time for one. I was so confused when they tied my arms down and I couldn't hold my son. Confused and angry! What a helpless feeling. That hour of recovery was the longest hour of my life.

I also don't like those pressurized tubes of dough. I especially hate when you complete the wrapper peeling process and it STILL doesn't pop open so you have to force it by banging it on the counter or (even worse) poking it with a fork. *Shudder* You just never know when it's going to pop. I go into a mild panic attack…

I can walk underneath an awning and I can walk around an awning, but my skin crawls if I walk halfway underneath with any part of my body under the edge of it. A long time ago, my imagination got me thinking that if it fell down while I was halfway underneath it, it would slice me in half. While my rational adult mind…

Right now, I'm not only stuck at a desk but I'm stuck in a wheelchair while I recover from knee surgery. I use my crutches at home, but I need the wheelchair because it has an extension for my leg until I can bend it, (Once I can bend it, I can move to a regular chair). So, throughout the day I will do dips on my arms…

Right now, I use the rower the most. I'm in a full leg brace after knee surgery, so I do a hips, abs, and arms only row (keeping my legs straight).

Sometimes I pre-log my day (like if I'm at work). I'll pre-log my breakfast, lunch, and both snacks so I know how many calories I have left for dinner when I get home. This way, when I see a treat on the counter at work, it's easy for me to say "Can't have it or I won't have enough left for dinner." Easy peasy. One problem…
