Probably...I have very few avian friends.

This is my second foray into the wonderful world of MFP. If you're looking for an interactive, supportive, and fun friend/accountability partner...I am looking for the same. Mention Ping_G10 as a sponsor if you add me and receive an all expense paid trip to Las Vegas at your own expense!

You look pretty serious...I would wear a hat and turn it backwards and...well I still think I would lose.

Twinkie - I'd say you were a guy who played hs football, were popular, and was the guy either hosting the kegger or you were at the keg party. - Twinkie & John...yes I played HS football and wrestled.

My nephew is 5 in the pic and he is a genius. Maybe I should share a pic of me...then you'd see the "funny" :)

Thanks for the LOL moment on this end. I need to find a rag to wipe the water off my keyboard and monitor. :)

If you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain...This is my second go around on MFP. I try my very best to be supportive daily. (Even if that means I just like your status). I am looking for a few more friends who are here to get healthy, who are supportive, and who want support in return. If you are into cycling…

IMC I am going to probably eat one bite sized candy bar for every two I give out tonight.

She told me it was her or the bike.

I once shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.

I missed my October goal. My November goal is going to be pretty much indoors on a trainer. I am shooting for 100 miles of indoor training for November.

I don't think I'm ready to shave my legs yet. I think I'll stick with going home tonight and looking at all the evidence for flats and for clipless and visit my LBS this weekend. :) I will save shaving my legs for next year. :)

And THAT is what I was looking for Jacksonpt...input on the differences. Most everything I read is slanted to one way or another. I want to objectively look at all the options. I want to thank all of you for your opinions, advice, and knowledge. I know I need to do something other than what I am doing. I just want to make…

I guess my best answer to, "Are you looking to improve?" Yes, I am looking to improve. I want to do this for a very long time and stay as healthy as I can doing so. I'm not looking to compete at all. I am just looking to go bike as far as I can for as long as I can without completely bonking (no - I am not looking for carb…

OP here - Okay to help everyone out...I am not training for an Ironman Tri. I am, however, training to do multiple century rides next year. I did my first one this year on a steel bike with flat pedals and tennis shoes. It sucked in more ways than my knees and lower legs. The primary reason I bought a carbon bike (and…

I would say I'm not in the minority when it comes to the fear of going clipless. The more I read on it - the more I know I need to do it. As a beginner (just a year in) I'm still learning a lot. It took me test riding a carbon fiber bike to know it was easier on my body than a steel frame. Maybe I just need to test drive…

I can always use more friends who are willing to offer motivation and support. I will offer the same in return. :) (p.s. if you are an avid cyclist...that is a MAJOR plus!)

Thanks for the awesome replies thus far. I ride more for distance and endurance than I do for speed (but I am always trying to get from point A to point B faster). My average rides are 25 - 40 miles with the occasional 70-110. Will clipless pedals help me endurance wise and help to make the ride easier? Please excuse my…

Found a buyer for my Jamis Satellite Comp. It was a great entry level bike for year one. Now moving to a 2015 Trek Domane 4.3. I am excited and don't know many fellow bike geeks to share with so...I am sharing here. #excited

I started 2013 running. Then I decided one day to sign up for a sprint triathlon and needed a bike. So I bought a used Trek mountain bike from a co-worker. I swore to my wife at that point I wasn't going to get into biking and this would not become an "expensive obsession". And then I realized that riding brought me more…
