Hi, By the sounds of it I think you underate a bit the first time you lost weight (I'm no expert here) but 30lbs in 100 days means that you lost on average 2lbs a week When I first when on a 'healthy' diet I lots tons very quickly and I was adhering strictly to it and thought it was great, "a lifestyle choice"...23% to…

Cheesemongers are like calorie crack houses, you can't just buy an oz, you have to pretend to yourself you are going to share it all with your friends, NOT 30g (1oz) = 100 calories

Hi there, I can totally relate to you. was 70kg in dec12 and now 78kg (5'11) and my BF increasing by 4%. I was following a VLCD aswell as LCD but started to eat more as was feeling exhausted. However my body hoovered up those extra cals and kept them all safe by converting them to fat almost immediately and although I feel…

Weight training is very good for keeping your brain on its toes, if ye pardon the pun! You basically need to set out your exercises, mark reps, mark weights note rest times, count seconds performing. I bring a work sheet with me every time to jot down everything I do, stopping at end of reps to write it down. You get so…

If you are a grazer its hard to ever feel satisfied, I too have days where I'm constantly standing looking into the fridge! I try to make it so that I really know what I'm doing, if the snack is too easy to pop one snack after the other, you'll have consumed loads of calories before you can blink! Make some protein buns…

Ok don't panic!! Your view of life has been changed since your diagnosis and your aim is to change your lifestyle for the longterm good, remember you just don't want to 'go on a diet' that sounds short term and quick fix, think long term changes and take it one step at a time, they say a habit is only formed after 21 days…

bodyweight exercises can still be challenging, and i see alot of posters here doing DVDs. Walking is a great cardio workout and you seem to be moving at a good pace but if you want to change your body shape ie bigger chest/shoulder/arms its weight training or for you body weight training. I''m sure google/youtube can bring…

dismissing your training while you lose weight, its illogical.. however what to do now, if you cant move gym.. I'd ask your own trainer if he/she could keep an eye out for you and if the owner comes over while in session could they ask her to talk to them post session, if I know trainers - they'll be totally happy to watch…

hi, Gym owners are always on the look out for success stories, you've lost a great deal of weight and it maybe the case that she would like to capitalize on your success? I think she's probably bummed that you haven't used her trainers and shakes to get where you are otherwise you'd be up on a poster yourself - promoting…

Hi there, I also suffer for urges to binge (after a VLCD and LC diet) the cheat meal concept started me off on the binging but anyway I was recommended a booked called Brain Over Binge from another poster here and it kind of links in to what you are trying to do, psychology you know you cannot be hungry and it explains why…

Yes, it helped me to rethink how I deal mentally with food, I've been a yoyo dieter most of my life, when I started at my gym 4 years ago i went from 23.5% to 15.5% body fat in 12 weeks, but couldn't maintain the bf as my body reset itself (I believe) to eating that low, no one at gym told me about reintroduction of food…

Hi there, can I recommend a book called Brain over Binge, which deals with binging and how basically your brain is reacting to food shortage, it's a good read before you think about going for professional help whether psychological or nutritional.
