Like @Heatherann78, I have to watch calories. I seem to have no switch that tells me I'm full or had enough to eat, so a visual cue on MFP is necessary. I try to meet protein and carbs, and just fill the rest in with fat. I also use a weekly average as my guide for calories and all macros, instead of trying to hit it right…

Yes, I empathize. I could go on and on about this topic, but it's mostly been said already. My biggest pet peeve is when a perfectly good product is suddenly changed. Usually an added preservative or other crap I don't want in my food, and then it gets stricken from my choices.

I think you should take a diet break (meaning I will eat carbs and such, but still try to keep my calories at maintenance level) and up your calories to almost maintenance for a week or so, and like many of us, you may get a renewed loss speed when you go right back to keto. Diet breaks have worked for me recently, and I'm…

Dr. Berg does have interesting videos and presents it well. I'm ovarian type.

I'm pretty sure 1.3 lbs wouldn't be considered a gain by most people eating keto. And your amount to lose was very small to begin with. Expect fluctuations; they happen for all sorts of reasons. Trend your data and see if it goes down over time. Or take pics like Sunny_Bunny_ and see for yourself the scale lies sometimes.

For me mostly racquetball, walking, and trying to get back into a routine of yoga classes. I really need to lift weights, but lost interest in it and prefer body weight exercises instead. I prefer exercise that doesn't feel like exercise. So, once the growing season comes, I will be gardening a lot. It is very physically…

sugar alcohols maybe? maltitol, zylitol, erythritol, etc.
-
I really like chia pudding for breakfast. I also make a "granola bar" recipe I found on Pinterest.
-
Never seen it and can't find the label online. Does it have sugar alcohols in it?
-
Any sugar alcohols like maltitol in your diet?

I have done about .7g per lb. of lean mass. However, I have chronic kidney disease stage 3a, so I try not to overdo it on protein due to that. I agree with kpk54.....5-.8 per kg seems extremely low.

Good plan. I hope you can find the balance you need to be successful.

This is me as well. I have a very hard time with sweets, as I have 28 sweet teeth instead of a sweet tooth. Slippery slope indeed.

Cheese is expensive calorie-wise so I don’t eat very much of it. maybe 20 g a day, but some days none at all.

are u on a diuretic for kidney disease? Stage 3a or 3b? I am 3a. I need more sodium on keto than I would off keto, but cannot eat the 3000-7000 mg per day that is often recommended as I swell like a bullfrog due to CKD and I am on lasix 20 mg daily. Some days I need 40 mg due to swelling. I wonder if you are holding water.…

I have these hungry days, too. I am easing into maintenance with the hopes of losing just a couple more pounds over a much longer period of time. If I don't, not worried about it. The hungry days just seem to pop up. I can't correlate them to anything really. Not even necessarily with playing racquetball or extra exercise…

My advice is to set your mind to the fact that you are taking a planned diet break. You can try all the things, just try very hard to keep portions small, so you can fit in all the goodness. You may actually find this beneficial to your weight loss efforts overall. You will gain from held water, but that may be all it is.…

Depends on the person really how fast you'll get back to ketosis. I think the important thing is to focus on one thing at a time. After something like that (if unplanned), just focus on eating keto style again. Let it go. It happens. Also, you may want to plan for future diet breaks. That's what I call them anyway…

I also find peppermint tea to stunt cravings for me. Try it?

I sometimes eat sour cream like yogurt. I found Lifeway Kefir Cup the other day at Kroger. Haven't tried it yet, but it's the plain one and lists 7 carbs, 1 fiber.

make sure you consume enough sodium. in addition to a multi, you may want to consider more magnesium (not too much...can cause diarrhea), and potassium (assuming it's not contraindicated with heart meds or other meds). keto will make your body dump extra water and along with it goes electrolytes. this is one of the biggest…

I have not tried bc I can't eat chocolate, but I've seen avocado brownies on Pinterest listed as keto.

I still take my lasix 20mg daily on keto. I drink plenty and use salt on/in my food. I also take magnesium.

If you are bleeding that much, it is not normal, and you need to see a doctor that has a clue, like twibbly said, and get a thorough evaluation. Could be your birth control, if you use it, or per-menopause, or thyroid disease, or even endometriosis. None of us know, and won't be able to diagnose on here at all. You will…

Bleeding that much and for that long is not normal. Something is going on for sure. The first thing that stuck out at me is how many different BC methods you've had. The Implanon is notorious for either stopping periods to almost nothing or causing very heavy bleeding for months, similar to Depo-Provera shots. Hormonal BC…

Generally speaking they don't fit too many folks' goals here. I'm okay with going a little higher on carbs than most folks in these forums, but still usually try not to go over 40 Net per day. I refuse to give up veggies due to carb count. 100 g of boiled brussels sprouts is 7 carbs - 3 fiber = 4 net carbs. And as you…

I am going through this right now. I started LCHF in June 2014. I lost 48 lbs in 10 months. I had my cholesterol checked in Summer 2014 after losing 13 lbs already. It was pretty good except low HDL, which I've pretty much always had. I think it was 47 (fluke) in 2013, but mostly it's always been below 40, which they say…

I'd get a second opinion as well, but take the Vitamin D3 first and see if you improve with your levels rising. And be forewarned, it can take months to get them up. Your level is very low. I've had chronic Vit D deficiency for years. Even with the prescription strength, my level didn't go up after 6 months. I currently…
