According to the book I'm reading the fibre amount on here is only about HALF of what they recommend every day so don't sweat it. I'm pretty sure as long as your bowels are still functioning there's no such thing as too much fibre ;o)

Oh yeah!!! I feel bad for my hubby cuz if I get annoyed at him about something, I start to eat then get even more upset with him and start a downward spiral of misery. It's not good - I really need to work on this. I envy the people who actually WANT to exercise to burn off their emotional crap - it's WAY more productive…

I'm looking forward to it! I always seem to be warm and hate it. I feel like the fat sweaty girl :o( Hopefully by summer I won't have to dread the nice days for fear of sweat stains!

Holy Sweetie - you look awesome!!!! Thanks for the motivation - I've lost 10 pounds but can't see it yet (and no one else has said anything so obviously they don't see it either) and it's good to know that soon it will start to pay off from the outside. Cuz it's paid off for you and you look fab! Way to go!

LOOKIN GOOD!!! Congrats on your progress so far! It's funny, I've had a change in my thinking this time around too. Instead of thinking "I'll give this a try" I'm thinking "I'm doing this". It's not even a "rah-rah look at me I'm on a diet" feeling but more of a peaceful feeling that I'm finally doing the right thing for…

I'm way too fanatical about weighing (almost every day) so I go up & down a lot obviously. It does help keep it always in the front of my mind and keep me on track if I do have a gain. It's too easy for me to forget what I should be doing if I don't have that daily reminder of what it's all about. It is annoying that it…

That's AWESOME! I know I get pretty obsessed with the scale but THAT must have felt so much more powerful than those silly numbers! Way to go girl and keep up the great work!!!

You look awesome! Great work!

I'm SO in the same boat! I always dread starting exercise even though I feel good about it afterwards. There's always so many reasons (excuses) not to go!!! I started taking a zumba class last month & I really enjoy it so that has been a huge help. Everything else just seems like work but this is actually fun so I never…

I wouldn't trust the measurements as they can be very inaccurate. You're obviously feeling better and able to do more and that is HUGE! So YAAAYYY for you!!! When you're body is ready it will start to shed it. You're working out a lot so make sure you're eating enough and your body doesn't think it's in stress/starvation…

I find the fibre recommendation is way too low on here. Just keep eating lots of it and don't worry about the numbers. The book I'm reading (YOU on a Diet) recommends 30 grams of fibre a day and this says around 15 grams for a 1200 calorie diet so that's only half what these doctors are saying. They also say eating lots of…

Well I'm certainly no role model but I think the first step is to eat a LOT of veggies. Add them to everything you possibly can and have another portion on the side. They help fill you up and that lessens how much other not-so-good stuff you would otherwise eat. I was also appalled at how many calories are in pasta & rice…

I suffer from shin splints too, but started a running class & my instructor gave me some stretches that started to help after the first couple of days. Just google stretches for shin splints and you'll get a bunch of choices.

HI! I've been on here 5 days and can't believe how wonderful and supportive everyone is. The posts and blogs are very motivating and having 'friends' to cheer me on or to complain to is SO helpful. Feel free to friend me!

My tip is to be prepared: - lots of filling veggies in the house & ready to cook or snack on. If you have to have something unhealthy, eat something healthy first to 'earn' it and to be sure you don't eat as much of the bad stuff. - your favourite soup (comfort food) - quick tv-dinner style meals - better to have…

YAY!!!!! Good for you!!!! I just joined a running class and can't run a quarter mile without stopping. I'm the fattest, slowest person in the class and that is very hard for me, but hearing other people's successes helps me to believe I might be able to do it. Thanks for sharing & CONGRATULATIONS!

Oooooh a tight butt! The prospect of that motivates me to get off my saggy one and do some exercise before bed. Thanks!

Looking Good! And may I say, several years younger too!

You look awesome - good for you! 10% BF is amazing!

Fiber baby! I'm eating tons of veggies with lots of fiber and that really seems to be helping. I've also done some reading on how insulin works and how sugar cravings keep coming back so I'm also trying to be more conscious of my sugar intake. Drink lots of water and if ya gotta snack, try a few nuts or fruit. Good Luck!

Great motivation! I just joined a running class and the bad news is I'm barely able to outrun little old ladies with walkers! The good news is I'm finally ready to push through the embarrassment of being the fattest, slowest person in the class and just show up and make an effort for a change! I'll be picturing a mob of…

OMG - not just calling, SCREAMING! My daughter got a 2 lb. bag (yikes) of the mini-eggs from her grandma yesterday and I had to tell her to hide them in her room so I don't tear into them. Lord, give me strength.

Well, I'm no where near my goal weight and haven't been in more years than I care to think about, but something came to mind when I read your post... Have you ever been "intimate" and getting close to "goal" and the harder you try the more frustrated you get? Sometimes, you just need to relax and let your body get there in…

I'm 5'3" and would like to drop at least 30 lbs. but 60 would be amazing - is that close enough? Best of luck and feel free to friend me!
