I'm probably going to be in the minority here, but I'd actually try taking a break for a little while. Allow yourself a week where instead of your usual workouts, you indulge yourself in some other kind of 'you time'. Keep somewhat active, but maybe in a different way - go for a leisurely walk in a beautiful spot (before…

That's beautiful. Thank you for the reminder and the loving intent. Namaste :o)

Yup, that's pretty much what I'd say too! Slow & steady wins this particular race. Stick with it though... I just finished Week 5 and it is SO worth it!

Joe Nichols - "What's a Guy Gotta Do" & "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" and a classic for ya... "Jose Cuervo" by Shelley West oooh, "Roll That Barrel Out" by Dean Brody and "The Night The Barn Burned Down" by George Fox

LOL! Nice!

I think it was called Witchboard and was from the 80's. They 'awaken' something with a Ouija board - scary bad :o( Another thing that bothered me for years was an episode of X-Files, where some hillbillies had their mother (who had no legs) stashed on a wheely-board kind of thing under a bed. I was an adult when I saw it…

"The Race is On" & "Drive Me Wild" by Sawyer Brown "Rockin' the Beer Gut" by Trailer Choir "i'm Gonna Fly" by Paul Brandt and this one's not country, but a personal fave that you should check out: "I Run for Life" by Melissa Etheridge Way to go with the running - I've been doing Couch to 5K for about 6 weeks now and am…

Yup, or a big ole white chocolate mocha from starbucks - that'll negate a workout pretty quick too!

I'd rather perform my own hysterectomy with a spoon than try to teach mine anything. Good Luck & God Bless Ya!

Love that song! I wept the first time I watched the video. Sometimes we all need a reminder of how amazing we are, or are capable of being.

Booya baby! Good for you on your loss so far! You're in the right place to keep that ball rolling! To friend someone, click on their name and it will take you to their profile and on the right you can click 'add as friend'. I'll be expecting a friend request shortly!!! ;o)

LOVE IT!!! Especially #3 & #10!

Oh god, don't remind me or I'll have to go out and sniff the stale smoke out of the upholstery in my car.
-
Okay, here's the whole story... (and it's even more ironic) If I hadn't taken the first step of getting some exercise, I'd still be smoking. I started running 6 weeks ago (love Couch to 5K!) and 3 weeks into it I came back from a run and flushed my smokes. It felt so good to push myself and do something I didn't think I…

Yup, that one still gets me. I always assume they lost their license and are only biking because they can't drive anymore.

LOL! Yup, that helps too!

Yup, they need a warning label on this site... "Work productivity and home cleanliness will suffer dramatically with extended use of this product."

C25K is awesome! I've always hated running and never in a million years thought I would take it up, but I'm on week 5 and really enjoying it. It's helping take the pounds off and I feel SO good about what I've been accomplishing. I'm slow and I don't go far, but it still feels great to be able to say "I am a runner"
-
Amen!
-
Yup, very ironic, right up til 16 days ago when I finally quit. :embarassed: It's not as easy to give them up as you might like to think. Would you prefer I NOT exercise and keep smoking, or start exercising and reap whatever benefits I can from that while still working on my other addictions? :smokin: Progress, not…

yee haw! i'd start on the kitchen counter or the washer during spin cycle... ENJOY!
-
Thanks for the link fitplease. I've been meaning to look up a good list of stretches to use after running. I can really feel the difference the next day when I haven't stretched.
-
Yup, love that glow! The confidence and pride just ooze out of some of them! Love to see it and soak it up!
-
YAAAAAAYYYYYYY! Great attitude! It'll take you far!

Ah, is that a trace of modesty I detect? I'm clearly not familiar with it... I'm ITCHING for someone at work to comment and keep wearing snugger clothes to try to show it off. I did a little dance when I told my mom I was wearing size 12 pants. When my sister in law finally mentioned it, I whipped off my sweater and posed…

Your body gets used to the same exercise and it doesn't work as well after a while. If all you're doing is walking, you need to change it up and add something different to kick-start your body again. And you might want to work on changing your mind-body connection too. Try meditating. I know it sounds cheesy, but talk to…

brussel sprouts - euw!

^^^This sounds about right to me. If you're eating 1200 but burning 800 on exercise, you're only netting about 400, which is too low.

OMG - ROFLMAO! Love you BOTH! Off to run a bubble bath and find my battery powered loofah!
