Lately, I've been listening to Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Black Eyed Peas. My workouts last longer and I work harder when I've got something fun to listen too!

I'm 5'9" and my goal is 135. I'm getting close to that and have already started thinking about losing an additional 5 after that. I've been a little obsessed with the numbers ever since I began MFP. lol I consider it a good obsession though!

I haven't tried one without the other so I don't know. For me, I think my body responds well to both eating less and exercising. I notice that my weightloss is slower when I exercise less but it's faster when I include exercise.

I started out exercising 3 days a week and saw the scale drop after 2 weeks. From there, I've maintained 3 or more days of exercise per week and have consistently lost weight. I also log my food every day to stay on track with how much I'm eating and what I'm eating.

Thanks! I have bought the Applegate Farms brand but have only been able to find the bacon and hot dogs. I'll look around to find the sandwich meats. I'll also check out the Whole Foods and Farmer's Market.

I, too, love dancing for cardio! I still go running or walking sometimes, but when I want to work my whole body, burn the most calories, and have fun, I dance! I did this today and it felt so good. Whenever I dance, I pop in some of my favorite music and have bottles of water nearby so I'm set. My kids even jump in…

Welcome! I've gotten into running recently myself. I've only done a 5K once in my life and it was tough but I loved it! I'm trying to get better at running so that maybe one day in the near future I can do another 5K or longer. Good luck! You're at the right place.

Cardio is your best friend. It will allow you to burn fat wherever there is fat. Once you're at a weight you're comfortable with, you can do ab exercises (as well as other strength training exercises) to tone your body.
