  • “By Volume” is not always implied and understood by people using this in discussion. I’ve had a few people straight out say “yes but muscle weighs more than fat” period and had to use the 1tonne of lead is the same as 1tonne of feathers, it just means you’ll need a heck of a lot more feathers than lead to get to the weight…
  • Sure that's all true however the people I know doing SW would personally consider it more of a lifestyle change than counting calories (and macros) it all depends on what floats your personal boat. My aunt would probably fall off the wagon by not accurately logging on MFP far more easily than making sure to have 1/3 low…
  • I keep things interesting by mixing up flavours all the time, never just lettuce cucumber and tomato. I try out a lot of veg that I don’t eat very often, like pomegranate. I rarely have it as a main mean unless I’m also adding chicken or mackerel or salmon etc, some nuts, an egg and whichever flavour balsamic goes best…
  • I have a couple of friends who swear buy it too, I did look into it but the rules look fairly fiddly and arbitrary to be honest. Things like "protein is satiating, use it as a base" aren't bad but "only eat these things as a group or never these things together” don’t really have a nutritional basis and probably just works…
  • And like others have said, that's a big part of my issue with paleo. I made a big change to healthy eating a few months ago, but it looks nothing like paleo. It isn't synonymous with "healthy" in and of itself. Quite frankly it leaves a lot of "healthy" foods out.
  • I've never done it on purpose, but I've had the experience where I was faffing around only half heartedly logging and not eating particularly well so I was staying the same or putting on a bit every weigh in. Then I got serious again and also started focusing on *what* I was eating and not just counting and the scales…
  • I saw that on TV last night and thought it was interesting. I do make a lot of pasta in advance for office lunches both salad and reheated. If not eating fresh cooked pasta is better for blood glucose levels that's good news.
  • I've recently stopped Graze, I had a Light Box but whilst I liked it I'm pretty bored of the selection and I've decided to put more effort into healthier snacks at work anyway and its probably much cheaper in the long run. I agree they seemed to have substituted a few snacks and not for the better. It was a good…
  • I love them (and carrot noodles and anything else I can make into noodle/"rice" shapes. Best thing for my diet I ever did was buy a spiralizer and I didn't miss regular pasta at all. Its nothing like pasta or noodles in taste or texture, but putting it together with a sauce or meatballs etc tastes great and is a fraction…
