^^^ agreed! I don't get why people really try to let those simple every day tasks become "activities" for calories burned, if you ask me they're just LAZY. Get into the gym or go outside for a real calorie burn. You're only cheating yourself!

You've made your body's thermostat more efficient as hard as that is to believe--you're probably thinking, "it's not efficient if I'm freezing all the time". Think about it, if exercising is a part of your daily routine then your body is used to getting hot at certain point in the day every day and it's learning to become…

Loved it! I did her 30DS several times through and now I'm finishing up her Ripped in 30 DVD. They're cost effective in my opinion, $8-ish I believe. I only bought her Ripped in 30 DVD, I downloaded her 30 DS video through Amazon's Instant Stream. I have to say, I was more of a cardio person before starting her DVDs, but…

AGREED! That's one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies!!

Wow! That's an amazing story. You've made incredible progress and kudos to you for realizing your health was at risk instead of laying down on the job and letting it overcome you. You overcame it!! Congrats, you look GREAT! Keep it up and maintain, maintain, maintain!

I think the uneducated in health/fitness are the ones who are making this unrealistic expectation that to become "skinny models" is beauty. It's fashion, it's art. I used to be one of those heavier girls that would be envious of the "skinny" girl, it wasn't until I lost weight that I really noticed what makes a person…

Same here! Good, I'm not the only one feeling this way for the last several months. I keep thinking, MAN, I was SO motivated before and had willpower to either A. avoid the bad or B. portion control and not want to go back for a little "bite". Still working hard and trying to keep myself accountable like everyone else…

Can you say kleptos!? Wow.

Feel free to add me. I'm in the "trying to maintain" mode and I know what it's like to feel like you don't really need to track food after losing the weight. I tried to go on maintaining without the diary but lost sight and started falling back to old bad habits--mainly snacking when bored and going crazy on sweets. I'm…

That's SO great! Congrats to you! It's good to hear you accomplished your goal. I too, will be running my FIRST half marathon this coming December. I can't wait, but at the same time I can. I'm trying my best to train when I can but adding the miles seems to prove difficult. I know I can do it! Thanks for that extra…

Trust me, you CAN do it. I've had my BAD days and I've had my good days. I lost 50ish pounds since August 2011. I NEVER thought it was possible, I always thought I was meant to be big. Here I am, a much smaller person, and able to maintain a healthy weight. I had a bad day today but I'm not going to let that hinder my hard…

Oh my goodness! You look 10-20 years younger! Awesome, awesome work! You deserve a round of applause...perhaps a standing ovation! Proud of you and for making a change in your life!!
-
Awesome work!! You look great! :flowerforyou:
-
Oh my! You look like a totally different person! Great, GREAT job! Going from 300 to 180 isn't easy I bet! Keep up the great work (maintaining).

I didn't really give anything up for good, I did cut down--majorly--on them when I was in the process of losing. I wanted so badly to hit my goal. I now realize, even though I'm at my goal, that I probably made a mistake doing that. I loosened up on myself when it came to eating more enjoyable foods that for a while there…

I think I'm an apple--or at least I thought so when I was heavier. I do carry my weight in my midsection, so I guess that constitutes me as an apple still. Anyway, I don't have any current pictures of myself to show, but I can tell you: Height: 5, 7" Starting weight: 182 Current weight: Anywhere from 127-129, depends on…

I say it just depends on your overall size and build. For me, it took 40 lbs for people to actually notice a difference. I have a small bone frame and it seemed to take quite a bit of weight for anyone to see a difference. I'm now 50-ish (a little over) lbs lost and trying to build more muscle.

I'd say get a HRM. I have the Polar FT4 and love it for my workouts. You can wear it around throughout the day if need be. Even though you're looking for something to keep track of calories burned and you're doing lighter workouts (walking) I think you might surprise yourself later and start on higher intensity workouts,…

I'm fine with doing the housework. I'm not employed right now so really that's my only job. I do get aggravated with the dishes sometimes but it's my own fault, I'm the one who cooks and dirties them up. My fiance does what he can to help sometimes, I do have to be vocal about it (taking out trash). I don't expect him to…

I'm 128-ish and wearing a size 4 pants/dress

DON'T wear the boots with the #1 dress that clashes BADLY. I personally don't go for tassel dress either--very outdated!

Outfit #2!!

I think the black is most appropriate with the shawl. The pink is cute but too summery and the gold one might be too attention grabbing.

You look awesome for a senior citizen! Congrats and kudos to you for keeping it off and staying healthy and active!

I like Gracelyn. A suggestion or two: Ember (instead of Amber), Emilia, Laureena

It is an acquired taste. I used to be the person who drank a little coffee with my cream and sugar. I gradually "trained" myself to try drinking it with less and less creamer. I can drink it black as long as it's a quality flavored coffee. I still need my sugar, but instead of regular sugar I use ONE pack of Sweet n…

Wow, that's messed up. I'm having the opposite problem. My best friend didn't see me during my transformation and insists I'm underweight even though I'm well within the healthy range and she thinks a 5,7'' person should be 140. What she's not taking into account is I have a small bone frame. 140 looks heavy on me, I'm…

I have the FT4 and it acts up every once in a while. I too thought it was the batteries but not too long after changing the batteries out (which are a pain to find in stores) it messed up again. It goes through fits and sometimes wetting the strap isn't enough. I'm thinking changing the strap out is the way to go. I'll be…

Nothing is wrong with interracial relationships. My best friend's sister is married to a black man (she's obviously white in order to make it interracial). He's a really great guy and I don't think anything negative of them.

unemployed... anyone know of a company willing to hire a college graduate in Dallas?
