Oh yay! I was thinking about posting mine. I'm currently in my second round of the Shred. I started back in November and alternated between that and regular exercise. I admit, some days I'd miss doing 30 DS. Nonetheless, I managed to make it all the way through the video (all three levels). Today, I will be finishing day…

Well, that's something I thought about is maybe I should cut down (not necessarily cut out) my intake of wheat. I don't *think* I eat THAT much wheat, I certainly don't feel bloated but maybe I should try to decrease the intake. I'll have to see how that goes.

Thanks everyone for your responses. It's given me a lot to think about and it's nice to know I'm not the only one. For some of you who recommended cardio workouts and 30 Day Shred I have been doing those. I make it a point to workout every day switching from going to the gym and doing the elliptical and weights to going…

Bump!

I'll just go ahead and post my progress pictures... brb

Yup, I do strength, cardio, abs... nothing has really fixed my issue. Yeah, I've become visibly smaller but it still holds the same shape. If that makes sense...

I'm tempted to post a picture but I was kind of waiting to do that when I hit my goal. :-/

I'm 5, 7" Starting weight: 182 (pant size 14--large end of it) Current weight: 147 (pant size 10--most likely an 8 now) Original Goal weight: 140 New Goal weight: 135 I'll admit, I'm going more by what I look like than anything. I hold most-- what feels like ALL of my fat in my midsection  Anyway, I was expecting that…

I'm going through my second round of 30 DS. I too was in the same position as you. I decided to push myself and go onto the next level (level 2) after the first ten days. You'll be fine, keep it up, you'll be a lot stronger than when you started if you keep it up.

I can tell you, for a while I was getting discouraged. I hit a snag this last month-- maybe two months. I was going from 150 to 152 back and forth, nothing was helping me lose. I experimented with eating back exercise calories, pushing my calories up to maintain weight, exercising more, exercising less. Nothing was…

Potatoes have loads of potassium

I too tend to go over my sugars. Don't worry about counting sugar you get from fruits/veggies. As long as you're watching the kind of creamer you use and measure it out you'll be fine. I get the impression a lot of people on here don't watch their sugar but I do because I know I tend to have a sweet tooth. I mainly pay…

Ew, who wouldn't wear undies when working out, bleh! I can see how it might be annoying at times though-- I've had a few days where it's just a pain to wear them because they start to slide down (from being too large) or just plain old create wedgies. Anyway, yeah, I just stick with the underwear I wore the night before…

I asked my dad the same question the other day. He's had experience with losing lots of weight and knows how the body reacts to changes in lifestyle. Losing weight causes you to become more lean, you're getting rid of the fat and producing more muscle. The more the lean you get the more efficient your internal thermostat…

Well, depending on the HRM this may or may not be true. Assuming you did your research and bought a reliable device there's a good chance it's correct. MFP doesn't account for what your heart rate was during certain intensities of your workout. If you're pushing yourself to hold a higher heart rate most of the time then…

I wouldn't be worried. Going by your ticker you have 141 lbs to lose? If so, that might explain why you're losing so fast (because you have more weight to lose). It'll go by quickly the first X number of pounds and it'll evenutally slow. As long as you're eating correctly and doing everything you're supposed to there's…

Last week I did poorly in nutrition. I'd start the day out just fine-- good, usual breakfast, pretty good lunch, dinner was down the hole! I screwed up around dinner majorly--mostly due to crazy sweet cravings. I noticed part of my issue was not eating enough protein plus more intense workouts. The combination apparently…

North Texas Decent apartment (1 bedroom/1 bath): $700-900 a month rent (just rent) Avg. salary varies, maybe 40-50K a year and up Gas right now is running $3.28 per gallon Luckily, for my boyfriend and me, no car payments although he does have student loans to pay off soon ($20k or so in debt for 3 years worth of college…

I too have had the same issue. I've been stuck in the 150.x to 152.x area for a while now. I've done everything I can think of to break the darn plateau and nothing has helped. This last week's food journals have reflected my frustration because I started going well, since I'm not losing how about I eat (insert high…

There are other things you could do to workout. I'd consider doing some research on Amazon and find workout videos with good reviews. Right now I follow both Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and Bob Harper's Biggest Loser Cardio Max. I've had a membership to 24 Hour Fitness and didn't like it, I went pretty often but noticed…

30 Day Shred is awesome! I've finished all the levels and I'm now going through the first level again. I'm going to see if I can actually do every level consecutively instead of skipping days. I flipped between visiting the gym and doing 30DS. This time I'm going to see if I can keep up regular exercise and the shred. I…

Wow, didn't see my twin Age: 23 Height: 5,7'' SW: 182 CW: 150.4 GW: 135-130 (not sure yet)

Don't worry, I too am facing the same issue. I've tried going back and forth with calorie intake and nothing seems to really push me from 152-150 lbs range into the 140's. I've upped my exercise routine and changed it around backwards and forwards and now I'm trying even harder to really, really eat right ( more whole…

Boredom is SO my number one reason why I eat. That's part of the reason I wish I had a job, it's hard to keep occupied sometimes when there's nothing to do around the apartment. I'm breaking the habit slowly and noticed it mostly controlled by how balanced my diet is.

It all depends on how your body holds fat. I was a size 14 when I was in the 180s, however it was a tight 14. Now I'm 151-153 and I'm in the small side of size 10. I'm 5,7" but honestly height doesn't have much to do with size, it's mostly your body composition. I hold my fat in my belly, the rest of me I consider to be…

I think more of us struggle with food than we'd like to admit. I too struggled during the holidays because it meant A. eating too many sweets/unhealthy snacks B. going out to eat for almost every meal (not making healthy choices). I was in a rut for maybe three weeks or more right before Christmas due to moving and holiday…

bahaha! Listen to the master! Machetes would be a winner for me!

Malt-O-Meal (chocolate flavor) It's warm and delicious with half milk, half water.

I'm 5,7''. I've never been considered a healthy weight in my life. For now I'm aiming for 140, ideally I'd like to be around 135 or 130. Really, the only thing I'm going for is at least a flat belly-- no need for 'abs' to show. I just want the belly fat to be lessened. As far as curve, that's fine with me as long as it's…
