I find that counting calories is the only way I can lose weight. My Fitness Pal helps you successfully count calories, so I think you will do great as long as you keep counting and you get into in a steady workout routine. Best of luck to you!!

I am sorry to hear that! I am in a small office and we are ALL in a weight loss contest until Dec. 22. Some are not doing very well at all, but it at least keeps the junk out of the lunch room ... for the most part.

That was a funny story. So, did you feel like crap after the combo meal? One quick way to break the fast food addiction is to become vegetarian. Yes, easier said than done, but there is not much out there to eat in the fast food world for vegetarians. And yes, congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

I make homemade trail mix, which includes dark chocolate chips and dark chocolate covered soy nuts. My portions are very small (about 150 calories each) but I have this every day around 2 p.m. My mix includes a number of other yummy ingredients and it is my one treat of the day. I could not live without it!

I find fluctuation to be both normal AND frustrating. It will pass and then probably start again.

I get on the scale the first thing every morning. Some people don't like getting on the scale that often, but I like to know what is going on with my body. It also helps me understand how certain foods digest through my system. For me, the scale is a very useful tool.

I find that when I have more than one other person with me working on a weight loss/fitness program, that I do much better because of the accountability factor. Hi Silky!! When I eat too little, my body gets really ticked off and reacts silly. So, yes, maybe you are not eating enough. What is your calorie per day goal without the awarded extra calories for exercise? Newzgirl
