I did the 30 inch box jump 5 times in a row today! I was pretty stoked, I usually do the 20 for wods since I'm a woman but have jumped on the 24 a bunch of times but the 30 always scared me. Did it on my first try!

OHS are hard! we did jeremy this week and the first round of squats I totally didn't have my hands wide enough so it was impossible. FIgured out my mistake and it was much easier after.

Everyone has those and then on the days the WOD is comprised of all things you are good at it feels so good. We had ring dips yesterday too, I'm surprised they didn't let you try them using the bands, I used a band to do mine...

yeah I turn it on and leave it on time passed, I don't look at my actual HR until I'm done and all I see is my upper HR and average. I push myself until I puke, lol

On the day we did karen my HR got up up to 191, with the warmup and cool down that day I burned over 600. If it's strictly a lifting day, of course my burns are much lower but you'd be surprised, I burned 500 on friday and we did grace. That's very general. I wear mine every single WOD and start it during warm up and stop it after the WOD or stretching depending on when I remember and I consistently burn 500-700 depending on the WOD. Isn't that more accurate than estimating? I'm not planning on eating the calories or even tracking what I eat since I eat…

I think this is what I love about Crossfit, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses at any age/shape. I can kill double unders, wall balls, box jumps, situps, running, rowing, some of the lifts, but suck donkey butt at pushups, pullups, toes to bar, handstand pushups, etc.

I live in: www.lululemon.com or www.athleta.com both options are expensive but the stuff lasts and is great quality. I wear and wash my stuff a lot and it's held up wonderfully over the years.

I tried gloves and coudln't grip with them. apparently no gloves is better. callouses are good, they make your hands tough. If you have a tear, then tape your hands.

You shouldn't worry about what they think about you, most people are too busy focusing on not dying to notice if you have a little cellulite. I love my running skirts but will only wear them for certain WODS.

Yep! the height works in my favor for the jumping stuff but no so much on the other stuff. lol I was also a high jumper in HS.

I'd love to be able to do a strict pull up, for some reason I can't and it's so frustrating. I'd love to be able to do 50 DU without hitting my toes/shins and having to start over. I've mastered the 20 & 24 inch boxes and would love to hit 30.

Hmm, were you ever a swimmer? My friend swam in college and is built like that, broad up top but narrow everywhere else. My shoulders are cut but I wear a small or medium in a shirt and am 5'10''. I don't think that having more muscles in that area is going to make it worse if it's the way you are naturally built...

We are doing the Savage Race as a box and I'm scared, never done one of these races before, I kind of hate running. lol

I wanted to do singles (it's WAY easier) but in my box if you can do double unders, you have to do them. I can get like 10 in a row and then hit my toes and have to restart. Let us know how it goes! Hero week terrifies me.
