  • Also on the food scale piece, increment is really important for accuracy. I've seen some very cheap ones that will only measure in 5 gram increments, which to me, just doesn't cut it. The one I currently have is 2 gram, which I, personally, am happy with.
  • In that case, I would say an FT4 or FT7 would probably suit you just fine, but I'm sure other people have some great info to offer up too! ETA: I just saw your link. I honestly don't know anything about the MIO one way or another, maybe someone can help on that one?
  • The good ones work with a chest strap, that you wear just under your sternum. Polar is probably the most popular, and for good reason, as they've been in the HRM game for quite a while. The FT4 is very popular, and for the money, is likely impossible to beat. Are you looking to track calories being burnt all day, or just…
  • Agreed, find someplace that DOES running. My pick, even though they are a chain, is Roadrunner sports. I've had great experiences there. They also offer a semi-custom insole. Even though it's pricy, it was totally worth it for me, as I have high arches.
  • I suppose it would if you wore it all day, but I couldn't tell you how long the battery would last, or how comfortable wearing that strap all day would be. That's why I wanted the Polar Loop, for the daily activity to get a good idea of calories burnt, and adding the H7, will allow a very accurate count for exercising, and…
  • I have been using an FT4, and it's great, however I plan on upgrading to a H7 and pairing it with a Polar Loop here in the near future. If you don't want to use it with a loop, the H7 will sync to a bluetooth phone, and plays well with a BUNCH of apps.
