I walk every day with my dog, Mickey, too. I live in Minnesota, but try to get in a walk in our woods even in the snow and cold. We have 10 acres, of which most is rolling, steep, wooded hills. We have quite a bit of snow now, but my husband keeps the trails in the woods groomed so we can walk on them. I have a fit bit and…

JW, what did the package say the serving size was versus the actual weight of a serving size. I imagine there could be quite a difference as the pieces vary so much in size, if they are claiming, lets say 20 fries per serving. I am wondering what a serving size is. I make oven baked sweet potato fries from fresh sweet…

Awesome idea! You will get the dill flavor, yum!

LOL, poor editing. I lost my respect for it when I tasted it though...........nasty stuff..........yuk

20 minutes to my home gym (Anytime Fitness) If I go to the club by where I work it is 45 minutes. There a 4 Anytime Fitness Centers between my house and work to choose from.

LOL, I guess I would have to agree with this, however, I opt to skip the kale part of it, then I might as well have a Big Mac.

I got mine last Friday. Ate the peanut butter one. Nothing to compare it to so I don't know if it was better. Also got the white chocolate raspberry (my favorite), but have not tried it yet. I still have a few of them to eat before I try the new one.

Eat what you want to eat. Weigh, measure and log everything you eat and drink. Move more. Eat less calories than you burn, and you will lose weight. Lost over 1/2 my body weight and have been maintaining for over 2 years.

^^That isn't the kale, it is the dressing and croutons.

Walking is an acceptable form of exercise. Weight loss is about 80% eating at a calorie deficit, 10% exercise, 10% genetics.
-
The fact is, no matter how you lose the weight, over 80% of the people that lose, gain it back within 5 years. Some gain back even more weight than they lost. My maintenance goal is to make it over 5 years. Two years and 3 months on maintenance, and I have lost over 1/2 of my current body weight using MFP and counting…

I love the elliptical as well I do interval for 65 minutes. It is my gym machine of choice and I do it almost every day. BTW, losing weight is at least 80% eating at a calorie deficit. I am on maintenance and joined a gym 1 year ago, and have been maintaining for a little over 2 years. No additional weight lost from…

Because of your young age, there could be an issue going on that your physician is not considering. Tell him/her how few calories you are eating, and ask why you are not losing. Serious health issues need to be ruled out.

^^ I agree. Plus I think people demand big portions, or some will think/say "is that all I get fro X # of $. I am over 60, and the biggest surprise to me since being on MFP and reading labels is portion sizes. It was definitely an eye opener. The old saying "buyer beware" can apply to serving size and serving size is…

I think you need to find another doctor. If you are carrying all of your weight in your abdomen, and not losing eating only a chicken breast and rice everyday, there could be a serious issue. Make sure your health care professional knows how little you are eating.
-
You probably are malnourished if that is all you are eating all day. It is impossible to get all the daily nutrients your body requires from that little food.
-
Is there a health care professional involved and monitoring your food consumption? If not, you need to see one to access your health. You are eating too little and you need to seek professional help.
-
On the Chit/Chat thread it is.

Perhaps a psychological benefit? I personally can not abide drinking warm/hot water, with or without lemon. Two of my co-workers drink warm water all day after their first cup of coffee. They are both slim, so, maybe. I have to have icy cold water. Whatever works.
-
Are you saying that that is all you eat all day? If so, it is too little calories for a whole day.
-
Tried it, hate it. Spinach is almost as nutrient rich, and tastes better.
-
Ask yourself it is worth it to eat the calories. While I was losing, I was asking myself that question all the time. The answer was almost always NO. So I would come to MFP and read the success stories. It worked for me. Think of how much better you will feel tomorrow for having resisted the urge. Good Luck!

It is basically candy, but it is delicious. I don't know why anyone would think it is being marketed as healthy. As a small treat, all things in moderation and fit it in to your calories. It is not a nut butter.
-
^^NO. It does not matter when the calories are consumed. If it works for you that is all that matters. Many people find it works well to have a few small meals and snacks throughout the day, but it really is a personal preference. Starvation mode is a myth.

Cut an avocado in half. Scoop a little bit out of the center. Crack an egg into the avocado, sprinkle a little srirachi on top and bake until egg is done. A slice of multi grain/whole wheat toast. Spread avocado on toast, top with sliced hard boiled egg. Season to taste. Eggs baked in muffin tin. Add any ingredients you…

I had a Fitbit One first, then a Force (recalled for metal allergies for a lot of people, I was one of them), now a Charge HR. I absolutely love their products. I am seriously thinking of getting the Blaze when it comes out in March. It really is a perfect device for me as I walk a lot and use mainly the elliptical and…

Fit the food into your daily calories, or just eat what you want and go back to your plan next Monday.

I like them baked as is. They are sweet and don't need anything else. Sometimes, I cut them in cubes and roast them with other veggies. Then I use EVOO and salt and pepper.

We really love this soup. I make it often and everyone I have given the recipe to loves it also. Rustic Italian Tortellini Soup from Spark recipes. https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=394002

MFP has a much bigger food base than fit bit. I just enter it here.
