Lasting damage is done when you give up and let one occasion be the rule, not the exception. Just get back on track and continue on toward your goal. Allow yourself to be human and live your life taking one day at a time.

I wonder how the world got so many obese people that were born vaginally? Because until very recently, cesarean sections were done in a very limited amount of births. Could it be from eating more calories than they burn? Shocking!

They have pumpkin spice syrup for coffee @ Target. The brand name is Torani. It comes in sugar free and regular. My sister had pumpkin spice cake rolls by "Little Debbie" this weekend. I had a bite and they are really good. I go to Kwik Trip and get 1/3 pumpkin spice cappuccino, and the rest regular coffee. It is really…

Honeycrisp, Zestar, & Sweet Tango, in that order. My neighbor has an apple orchard with all of these trees, so I just have to walk down the road to get my apples in the fall. I have a Zestar and Sweet Tango with me today @ work for my morning and afternoon snacks.

I would like to have this recipe too! Please?

Baked, topped with greek yogurt with chives and onion mixed in the yogurt.

Everything that I eat and drink. Little things add up and can make a difference.

True words! Turkey bacon, IS NOT BACON. Made it once. My DH said, "What is this?" I answered, "turkey bacon". He said, don't ever make it again. That was 4 years ago, and I never have made it again.

Great idea about the pumpkin creamer in pumpkin oatmeal. I making a batch of steelcut pumpkin spice oatmeal this weekend, so I will try it. Sounds divine! I forgot about the pumpkin spice cream cheese. I haven't seen it yet here (MN). So good!. Are you willing to share the recipe? I make the ones with spice cake mix and a…

They are at Target. I saw them there last week. They were in the cookie aisle. I got them last year @ Target too. They had them in the Halloween section as well as the cookie section last year. They were just starting to set up the Halloween section last week when I was shopping at Target, but they were already in the…

I lost 90 pounds before I began to even be able to walk more (bad knees). Exercise is beneficial to overall health, and important, so at minimum, try walking more, it really helps. Weight loss is from eating less calories than you burn.

^^This. The only person you can control, is yourself. When, or if, a person is ready, they will do it for themselves. The best thing you can do, is set an example. No amount of coercion is beneficial. Many times it leads to resentment. Do it for yourself. Explain to your partner how you feel. Accept their life decisions,…

My take on this. Been there, done that. Apprehension for the seasons of "eating" occasions. Been on MFP for 4-1/2 years. The past almost 3 on maintenance. Allow yourself to indulge. Perhaps a small taste of everything. Try to log as honestly as possible. If you go over, don't over worry about it. Get back on track the next…

White chocolate raspberry Quest bars. I don't heat them up, like them as is.

Pork loin roast. (can use turkey, chicken, beef, whatever you like) Jar of sliced banana peppers. (I use the hot ones) Put the roast in crock pot. Pour the peppers over the roast. Cook on high for 5-6 hours. Remove from crock pot and shred with two forks. Put back in pot and cook for another 1/2 hour. Serve on buns or…

I made a rice pilaf with wild rice and brown rice in the oven, last time I made salmon. http://www.williams-sonoma.com/recipe/wild-rice-pilaf-with-dried-cranberries-and-pecans.html I used sliced almonds instead of pecans. Everyone loved this rice.

Pizza-but I don't substitute anything. If I want it, I eat it, and work it into my daily calorie allotment. I do make better choices (for me) now. We have grown to really like veggie pizza, and don't even miss the meat.
-
I cut back on everything, but still eat anything I want. Paying attention to correct serving size and staying within my calorie allotment. Worked for me when losing and is working for me for almost 3 years on maintenance.

3 years maintaining on November 3 2016. I log everyday, just to keep aware of what I am eating, but not as accurately as I did while losing. I also weigh myself everyday still. For me that is what I have to do to keep the weight off. I know if I don't, it will be too easy to start down the slippery slope of gaining back…

Eat less calories than you burn, that is how you lose weight. Your choice how you arrive at weight loss. Exercise more to be able to consume more calories and still be consuming less than you burn, or eat less calories and no exercise, or very little exercise. Exercise is important for your overall health. I don't love to…

Consistency, and stay within your calorie allotment, and your goals will be met.
-
Doable. Go for it! It is not an unreasonable amount to lose in 6 months!
-
If you like vanilla creamer in your oatmeal, try subbing a little unsweetened almond milk and a touch of vanilla. Also, I really like blueberries on top of my oatmeal and that gives it a little sweetness.
-
You should be a poster boy for MFP! Spectacular achievement!

Greek yogurt with chia seeds, ground flax seed, and sliced almonds mixed in. Sometimes I add unsweetened coconut flakes. You can get all of the add ins from Bob's Red Mill.

Why does he advocate losing that much weight that fast? Sounds dangerous and unhealthy. I lost 40 pounds the first 4 weeks, with my dr's supervision, and I was eating 1200-1400 calories per day. So it is doable, but I was morbidly obese at the time. P.S. and yes, it is sustainable. I lost over 160# total in 20 months and…
-
For me personally, not sustainable. Long term sustainability for me. All foods in moderation. No transitioning to maintenance. 34 months on maintenance @ less than 1/2 of my starting body weight. Works for me so far.
-
OP, you need to put this in success stories, if you haven't already. Everyone should see this post!

The soup is fine. The diet is suspect. I make the soup often (with veggies I like) in the winter, but don't (never have) follow the diet. I don't necessarily agree with "slow and steady wins the race", for me it is consistency that wins the race. 4-1/2 years on MFP. Lost over 1/2 of my current body weight and have kept it…

Holy buckets! What an amazing transformation! Wow! Congrats! Your hard work is apparent!
