This is how trying to lose weight by eye looks like for most people on here. Congrats on your success and since you already apologized for the tone of you initial post I will just leave it like that.

ha ha :) I try not to do the same with my wife. She has her own way of staying fit and counting calories and tracking fitness is not her thing. This is why I'm on here and she's not. Anyone else feel free to add me too. HC

Yes, I agree with you. It's not only a challenge for a normal weight person but for someone who has been overweight. I call it unintentional sabotage.

Learn to live with it. And try not to expose your playbook too much. One's betterment tend to make insecure people feel like they are on the way down.

I wonder how the OP can summarize so well how the MFP forums work??

This works for me. I log any hot chocolate with bakery or ice cream I plan to have after dinner first thing in the morning. Then I plan the rest of meals accordingly to fit with my calorie goal. Working out right before your scheduled snack could help you control the urges too.

we do?? I was not aware :/
-
ok. So I have this question for you. Would you elaborate on what motivated you in 'your heart" to seek your goal until you reached it? I see you mentioned health problems. was there anything else that motivated you?

by definition you can't stop a binge. If you would, then it wouldn't be a binge. You may have to adjust your expectations here. I don't think you can't have both, the baking and the restrain to not eat them all. We all have to give up on something for something greater. e.g. your health, a hard body, etc. If I was to tell…

add me too if you like. I ran multiple 5ks in the past. I want to start running more consistently. What race did you sign up for?

I understand your viewpoint. Because of many reasons other have pointed out many people, even with good intentions try to sabotage the efforts of the dedicated. In this society is so hard to stay healthy and fit that a lot of people think it's impossible to do it. And try to get you to live a little. I wish I had better…

You will not be ignored. Sometimes people are polite or jealous. But what are your alternatives if no one but you seem to notice? give up and gain all the weight back? You sure don't think so! Keep going do it for your and

on paper it works really well. You restrain yourself a little more on weekdays. Let's say you save 100 cals mon-fri. Then you can have fries with that burger or an extra slice of pizza. However in my personal experience is not the big intake in one day (cheat meal or day) that kills you but the next day when you say 'what…

GET OUT! I didnt realize Mitch was dead :( you ruined my day. I may have to listen to some Brian Reagan to cheer me up. Brian Reagan and Jim Gaffigan are my faves.

if you're hungry, eat then. 1 oz almonds = 170 cals orange = 80 cals greek yogurt = 80 cals banana = 80 cals protein shake scoop = 150 cals etc.

Some people set a rule like 'no eating after 6pm' and I don't think it can help with maximizing weight loss. But I think it helps with overeating. So when someone says "what you gotta do is not eat right before bed!" I'm like I get you but it doesn't have to do with the time of the meal but with actually limiting calorie…

30 lbs in a 100 days seems reasonable. I'll be 210 by July 12. LET'S DO IT!
