I feel you! I was SO close to doing the lap band procedure myself and then I just kept reading and reading and reading stuff like this happening and so forth. I decided against it and joined a Kaiser weight loss program. Stupid thing is that they would cover you for surgery for lap band but not cover something educational…

I dont think it is bad by any means to eat 900 - 1200 cals a day. Alot of people freak out about not eating enough, etc..Lots of people freak out about not eating enough because of working out etc... The majority of people are not atheletes and they dont play professional sports. They are desk jockeys or regular job people…

It would be very hard for her to excersise 1200 calories at her weight. This is most likely not going to happen. IMO it just doesnt make sense to eat back your excersise calories. It defeats the purpose of working out. If she ever (which is not likely) burned off 1200 calories I would maybe think about eating an additional…

I like CL also. It helps me drink the gallon of water a day that is my goal. I dont use the whole amount though. I use one little packet that has 20 calories total for the whole day just to subtly flavor my water.

Sounds like its the Aspartame sweetner. Lots of people get headaches on aspartame. Luckily im not one

Sorry I dont agree with eating back your excersise calories to lose weight at a nice pace. You will lose weight MUCH slower if you eat back your excersise claories. I say stick to around 1200 calories and that is it and keep excersising. Just MO

Losing weight and staying in shape is a lifelong battle. You gotta keep going and do it every single day. Eventually your body has no choice but to give up the pounds. I promise it will happen. You gotta NEVER give up!
-
Please be safe with you "diets" and look to make lifestyle changes. Losing more then 2 lbs a week makes it unlikely for your body to keep it off. If you chose to do a diet you chose it for life. That's why it is all about doing what is right and doing it the healthy way. Don't worry about seeing results every day or every…

Yea I was just figuring that its a lot harder prob to move all my weight so I assumed I was getting a better wokout calorie burning wise riding my real bike!

I would prob just switch it up and do it different ever few days. Swich up is always good.

People always might be saying you are "gaining muscle". I would REALLY watch out with that statement. I hope everyone here knows and understands just how hard it is to put on 4 lbs of muscle? For an overweight person on a diet, that is probably never the case. Body builders and health nuts dream of putting on 4 lbs of…

Im a diet soda drinker myself. I dont think I can ever give it up. I will tell you waht though. Ever since Ive started to drink almost or up to a gallon of water a day, my diet soda consumption has almost been eliminated solely for the fact that my body just doesnt want it because it has so much liquid already with water.…

So what should I do on weigh in day? Stop drinking around 12PM?
-
I dont have a choice on the time. Its a program and I get weighed in at 5PM. My scale at home is all over the place. I dont think its quite accurate.
-
I would just do some cardio and stretch. If cardio even hurts or is discomforting, try taking down the level a notch or 2 or do some fast walking or treadmill to burn some calories. Id def stay away from weight resistance.

IMO...Dont weigh yourself every day. Pick one day a week in the morning right when you get up to weigh yourself.

That is so awesome! Man good for you. Thats a real accomplishment. I hope one day I too can lose 130 lbs! Great job

I've lost 70 lbs since January of this year. Its SO doable, you just have to focus and never give up no matter how many times you mess up or over eat etc... Its not a race, always remember that and it will workout for you eventually. How much work and commitment you put in will determine how quick it happens. It will…

Awesome point. I wish I was a morning person and I really would. If you could do that it would be great. Its just important though that even after that you dont over eat your calories back during the rest of the day
-
Good luck with your 70 lbs goal! Hey Im already there! Its a fantastic feeling. Im smelling the 200's soon =) Just keep going everyday, regardless of the setbacks. Every day is a new day. Think like that and you will be at your goal before 6 months are up, if not before then!

One thing Ive learned about weight loss especially when your not that big to begin with, my nutritionist/trainer said that its very important "not too eat back your calories" you burned at the gym working out. Meaning just stick to a certain number of calories each day and dont look at the "NET" calories after you have…

Damn man that weight loss is amazing!!!!! 190 lbs is unbelievable! If I could ever get to that, I would consider that a miracle! =)

Hello, Im a newbie on my fitness pal. You gotta KEEP GOING! I think thats the biggest thing we all gotta do, no matter how much weight we have to lose. I have to/want to lose upwards of 165 lbs. I think the main thing for me is just keep telling yourself "KEEP GOING". It doesnt matter what set backs you have, how many…
