Whatever you decide, good luck to you. You are 370 lbs. I started at 404. Im now about 300 lbs. It took a year but with no surgery. One thing to remember, surgery will NOT fix your head and brain and why we got to the weight we got to. You being bigger, you will also drop your weight quickly which will get you out of the…

I've lost close to 100lbs and I KINDA agree with the spike theory. Although what I do is, I have a day where I eat pretty much what I want as long as I kinda dont eat too much sugar. I'll eat burgers, burrito or pizza but stay away from ice cream or sugar or regular soda. I also still try to workout that day as well. I…

Im 3 lbs away from 100lbs lost. I need to lose about 160 - 170 total pounds. It really can be done. It just takes time. Ive lost 110 lbs before and gained it back and then some. I promise that will never happen again. Its a long road but take it 50 lbs at a time and I promise you will achieve your goals. Like someone said…

I dunno, everyone is different and we all have our opinions. My opinion is that I dont eat back my exercise calories ever. I realize there is a 2lb weight loss built in to the MFP plan. I however also started close to 400 lbs and am still at around 300 so, I naturally lose alot more than 2 lbs per week. Some people would…

I was in a program that was a strict fast for 20 weeks of nothing but bars, shakes and soups. No real food. I dropped about 80 lbs in about 5 months and then the rest of the year (about another 5 months) I maintained that weight loss when I switched back to food. I did this solely because of MFP. I simply logged my…

Diet Soda is definitely something Im not giving up. I gave up regular sugared drinks including even juices. I also will never just giveup all kinds of fast foods or fatty foods or snacks forever. Im just going to learn to be disciplined and know when to have them and how much quantity.

I started my diet at 397lbs and I had MANY MANY days negative. I think its perfectly acceptable. I however was under a doctors supervised program that met and took blood tests every so often along with blood pressure. We did this for about 16 weeks and I lost about 80 lbs. For really big people, the game is a little…

There is some truth to this, however the MOST that MFP will deficit you for is 2lbs per week. So if someone wants to lose more than that, eating back all of your excersie calories is not applicable to them. I personally don't eat any of them back. If I would have to, I would maybe eat 300 or so calories back if I were…

Very cool! I hope one day soon this year...I dont hope, I KNOW that I will be just a successful. You are an inspiration. Great job tackling your weight!

Thanks Maggie. This is exactly what Im talking about. In dieting, a person should try and stick to a stricter regimen to lose the pounds to get to their goal weight. After maintaining, its just like you said. You count calories. Thats the only way. Its harder than it sounds and often we have holidays, trips and parties and…

I have lost 90lbs. It has taken a little short of a year and Im still going. Id like to put it as plainly as possible and simplest as possible. I have failed so many times in the past because of "diet tips" on what to eat, what time, how much carbs, how much protein, how much fat, how much sodium etc... I have changed all…

Ive lost 90lbs in about a year. It is possible, all it is, is TIME. Give it time. Good luck!

YES!!!!!!!!!!! It is possible. ANYTHING is possible! I know its hard. I started at 400 lbs im so close to 300 now. I have seen people lose 250 lbs on MFP with no surgery. It just stakes TIME. Thats all it is. Just do the same thing, eat the same way, and eat clean and good and try to work out as much as you can. IN TIME…

Ive lost almost 95 lbs and drink alot of diet soda. I try to really watch my food and I used to love regular soda, so I really dont think it evil. You know whats evil? A bacon double cheeseburger with french fries and a regular 32 oz Coke that has 500 calories in it.

Great job! You look amazing! =)

I was at the last Biggest Loser finale in L.A. where Olivia won it. Pretty cool experience and got to meet a whole bunch of past contestants from other seasons. Very nice people!

I used to use my trainer way back at the beginning of the year. I was alsmost 400 lbs and I couldnt train properly and it was so hard, so I decided to workout myself and just do cardio and diet and Ive lost 90lbs since January. I wanted to get down to a workable weight where I could move around more and make training a bit…

I agree with jaybone, but I still think its OK as a temporary diet plan. 1000 or 1100 calories for a girl her size isnt that bad IMO for a diet weight loss plan. Im not a health expert, just my opinion. Also on a side note. Caloric spikes or different amounts daily through the week has shown to be a good thing as well. I…
