Hi everybody, my name is Marie and I'm 23 years old. I have a 2 years old daughter and I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant with baby boy. I was in my best shape before I got pregnant the first time, running and lifting weights at 130lbs. I gained 65lbs while pregnant with my DD and lost 45lbs. Then I got pregnant again with my DS…

I pre log for the day usually, since what I eat is generally the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday. I'll leave the snacks and dinner slots open (I have my diary set to breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks) so that I can chose what I'll have then according to the calories I have left. Usually I'll have for…

Usually a little bit of meat and veggies doesn't add up to that many calories anyway, and most of the time I don't have many calories to spare for dinner since I'd rather eat a bigger breakfast and lunch since I need the most energy earlier in the day. The snacks I like to have after dinner are usually anything pickled,…

Totally agree! Body composition plays a big role in how good you can look for your weight, plus it helps to maintain a faster metabolism (losing weight will already gradually slow down your metabolism, so gaining muscle will help counteract that).

Hi friend! My suggestions: * Figure out your TDEE to determine your calorie goal. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ * Don't eat back/only eat back half of your exercise calories. * Be sure to weight everything you eat/drink. Calculate every bite or sip you have! * Maintain a deficit everyday and you will lose…

I would say to do what you gotta do, but keep in my mind that maybe you should keep it to yourself. Don't share your plan or calculate your calories in front of them. Don't be a trigger for their compulsive and destructive behaviors. Show them that you can have a healthy relationship with food and that you can be healthy…

I would up my fat and decrease my carbs if I were you, since you can't eat sugar or wheat anyway. Fats are great for you and keep you feeling satiated, in my experience. At 1200cals (you don't have to eat as little as me, but definitely don't go under 1200cals), I usually eat about 80g of protein and 80g of fat and only…

To each their own, definitely! The reason why I started doing this was because I hated that whenever I went over my calories, the number became red and I felt like I had failed! Even if I was just over by a few calories. Now I can see the bigger picture and realize how much of a deficit I can achieve everyday.

I think it's funny how intermittent fasting gained popularity... I've been doing this way before this became popular without even realizing it! Especially since dieting because a) I would go run first thing in the morning before eating breakfast since this helped me avoid getting cramps and b) because starting to eat later…

I agree, it's easy to omit a bite here and there, or a sip here and there... it adds up! I would also add to make sure that you drink enough water, since it will help you shed extra water weight and appear less bloated. Being hydrated is also important to allow your body the resources to burn fat (since all processing in…

I would highly suggest for you to calculate your TDEE and go from there. MFP will set you calorie goal but doesn't really help you understand how they determine that number. I found that, for myself anyway, it motivated me way more when I understood how my deficit worked. Your TDEE is your BMR (basal metabolic rate, the…

Because macros go along with calories. Fat is 9cals per gram as carbs and protein are 4cals per gram. Therefore, if you goal is 1450cals, and you have set a certain % for your macro goals, it will calculate the total amount of grams accordingly. If you increase your calories, MFP will adjust your macros as per the % you…

Hey there! :) I think it also depends on your goal? If your goal is to lose weight, you don't necessarily need to eat back all those calories. I made sure I didn't eat under 1200cals to ensure I get enough food in. To me, as I knew I wasn't really active (stayed home and took care of my baby, cooked and cleaned) I knew I…

Hi! My name is Marie, I'll be 23yo next week! I started here last year in December 2014 at 183lbs and lost 32lbs at the time. I am now back (8 days streak right now) and I'm done 4lbs from 160lbs. I am aiming to lose 30-35lbs which would bring me to 125-130lbs which is my pre-pregnancy weight. My little girl is 18mo. I…

Still drink green tea cuz it's great for health, but it's all about CICO (calories in, calories out).

Lately my skin was at it worst it's been in a loooong time. Like I'd have 5-10 pimples ready to pop every morning and night. It was SO gross. At some point, I had a patch that would keep growing pimples non stop on my left cheek and the skin was so inflammed that it was starting to get numb on that spot!!! Anyway, I…

I am passionate about nutrition and have tried many ways of eating in the last 8 years, and the one that fulfilled me and felt natural the most was LCHF. I lost 35lbs last year till life got in the way and I fell back to some old habits. Now I feel *kitten* and I can't stand it anymore so I'm going back to it since I know…

What's your recipe for your tuna casserole? I'm curious :)

Try to eat enough fat and protein, these keep me fuller longer compared to carbs. Good luck! ♥

I had a baby 1 year ago and my boobs got way bigger when I breastfed. After that, they kinda deflated a little, but it actually gave them a better shape IMO. I started with 52lbs to lose with 21lbs remaining now and they have gotten smaller throughout the process. Let's hope I don't end up with none lol.

You can't forget my friend Jack, now! Jack Daniel's, that is ;)

When I started out I cut out everything because I needed to form new healthier habits. Now that I have been on this journey for 4 months already, I understand and practice moderation. Eating to lose weight and be healthy are 2 complete different things. Some days what I eat isn't particularly healthy, but I still manage to…

Well... I would personally say that you need to get used to being hungry. You will notice after a while that what you thought felt like being hungry isn't really. Say adios to the being stuffed feeling. Once I understood and accepted that, it was way easier for me to get started. After all, we are eating at a deficit and…

It helped me understand my BMR and TDEE. Also, now I have understood what I need to do to keep the weight off (eat at maintenance, TDEE). I also really appreciate all the support I get from the friends I made on here. It helped me achieving somewhat of a ''balanced'' diet, no off-limit foods just moderation. I am really…
