I personally don't count housework as an exercise....but if what you do makes you feel pooped and that bit extra hungry then maybe it's the right thing for you, especially seeing that you are moving furniture etc. As for the mowing....I definitely couldn't justify for myself to log it as burning any appreciable calories…

Just wondering if you have factored in the calories you were consuming thru the alcohol and replaced them with food. If the case is that you haven't factored in the loss of these calories....then maybe you are feeling hungry because of too large a deficit. I have travelled this road too and I too found myself extra hungry…

Hi there!!! Wishing you all the best for your 94 days...... I was wondering if you had thought about writing out your lists of "No's" and "Yes's" , with more detail on the Yes side as to the ideas/substitutions that you like or would like to try over the next 94 days. I have written similar plans for myself in the past…

Oh Sweetheart, I am so sorry you are going thru this..... I know I am old enough to be your Mum but we can all struggle with heartache at any age. Some of us turn to food to help them soothe their emotions others (me included) struggle to even stomach the thought of eating. Time will help in the long run but perhaps right…

You may find that your loss has a bit of 'stall' time while your body concentrates (for want of a better word) on just dealing with the infection.....or on the other hand you may find that you lose weight as per usual or a bit faster. Being sick can make weight loss a bit more difficult to predict. Focus on getting…

:flowerforyou: What an amazing achievement.....well done!! Op - Both hubby and I started the weight loss, dietary changes nearly 3 years ago. For me, weighing 126 kgs (267 lbs) at 5'5" and morbidly obese I was bordering on pre-diabetic, dealing with Chronic Pain, higher cholesterol than it should be and some pretty dodgey…

Greetings fellow Aussie (I hail from Tassie), 1. Try anti-perspirant options .....maybe "Neat Feet", no don't laugh it's for anywhere sweating/chafing causes issues. Ask at the Pharmacy they will be able to give you options......there's prob. newer better options now. Or the other help would be to wear like bike…

I'm sorry for you loss....!!!!!??? Pretty crappy to be that misled....I wonder if they will be fined or punished....hmmm. Anyway back to to offer my 2 cents, would it be a useable alternative for Acrtic Zero lovers to try Sorbet or Gelato style icy treats. As we don't have the product here in Aussie as far as I know....the…

I have no idea about the connection between low-carbing and the exacerbation of gout symptoms. I suffer with Lupus and another complicated systemic pain condition......which causes same issues that gout does, just different origin. I was wondering if you are making sure to be very generous with your fluid intake to dilute…

Honey, I know that I'm not addressing the weight gain question that you posed but I was wondering if you had considered getting some counselling to help you address any underlying issues that are impacting on your life. Labelling foods as bad are are sure way to add to inner stress..... Haybales has a really valid point…

Hey there, I wonder if it would help you to make sure everything is OK with 1st in a medical sense, maybe the depression that you are being treated for isn't being well controlled by the medication that you are on and depression will literally suck the life out of you. It is virtually impossible to counter the effects of…

Hi there, Is it possible the changes in your breasts are being enhanced by your weight lose else where on your body, ie. you are one of those ladies who retain breast tissue during weight loss and they become more noticeable as your body drops weight from the surrounding areas of back, shoulders, underarms etc., it seems a…

It is possible that there may be specific foods in your normal diet, that are contributing to the frequency of your migraines. The bigger, more alarming issue though is the way you are depriving yourself of the basic levels of nutrition for bodily functions. This is a very slippery and dangerous slope that often results in…

I'll add my voice to the advice of putting your stats into MFP. Eat at the calories suggested. Weigh everything that goes into your mouth, and make sure to Log it all so you have an accurate picture of your intake. Keep reading these forums especially the ones people have kindly given you the links too and finally be…

I have lost 167lbs, starting at the age 48. I am now 51, it took about 2 years to lose that weight and I have been maintaining at 110lbs for over a year. I too had issues with skin....but to be honest most of them psychological.......it's far better to lose the excess weight with all of the wonderful health benefits than…

This topic has resulted in such interesting and enlightening replies. Many years ago I was on anti-depressant medication and I too ended up putting on a hell of alot of weight. For me, initially I gained without any change to my eating intake, but as time when on, I did contribute to my gain by eating more. Given the…

Dear Dat Panna, I just thought sharing my issues with chocolate may be helpful. OK I have 2 auto-immune diseases....the 1st being Central Sensitization, which turns the sympathetic nervous system on ALL the time (this is our flight or fight response)....amongst other stuff it causes cortisol levels to be constantly raised…

Oh dear.....I feel your pain. I have many diagnosed intolerances to foods .....and my body's response to that ranges from mild reaction to fairly problematic. I too love chocolate, but it hates me. Once I start it is very difficult to control portions and the result is not pretty. There are other things to which are…

Without an open diary and the various relevant stats re age, height etc, I can't offer much advice. May well be you are simply eating too little and you are just plain hungry..... Can offer a bit of a personal anecdote tho regarding overeating......my problem was more to do with the type of foods that once I started eating…
